wow.
So I just realized that this is going to be an amazing year. As a start to that, I locked most of my previous entries that were negative.
*Our house rocks - we bbq all the time and never stop laughing.
*The neighbors are cool. We just got cookies from Brett because they borrowed our internet... Bruce came over and talked to me after he got back from north and Greg - well, he's Greg. We had a talk about personal space ;) Good friends.
*Alcohol is never missing (namely wine and cosmopolitans)
*My classes contain a lot of good people. It's nice to know someone in each class and discussion.
*Games in the first row of the Big House are AMAZING. I saw a cameraman get whaled last time.
*My organizations are hectic in a good way. Good people there too.
*OS program is amazing. I went to the student convocation and met more concentrators, had ice cream and learned of opportunities. We're meeting the President of J. Walter Thompson... CEO of Jet Blue Airlines... I'm on the leadership committee planning team and I get to meet 16 execs and CEOs from around the nation that donate to OS... Also, the CIA (yes, the CIA) is coming to talk to us and recruiting. How awesome is that?
*Kenny and Kristin are around. It's cool.
*Work - Lynda finally got fired before I got back and Patty hired two new people - Scott and Jennifer. Work's awesome. I even have a fake office of my own, lol.
Ok, so classes will kick my ass, but it'll be ok. I don't mind a challenge and have a more positive outlook - I am paying a lot for my education. I might as well learn.
-ACC 471 (I heart accounting) - homework every Tues/Thurs and 3 exams
-POLSCI 300 (contemporary issues with previous House member Lynn Rivers) - 10 response papers, 4 event papers, one midterm and a 10 page final. Also, 5 random quizes.
-Psych 122 - Intergroup dialogue. response papers weekly + one 10 page paper at the end.
-OS 410 (field research @ jwt) - One group 40-50 page paper + a few small projects (powerpoints, etc.) I have two site visits to Detroit.
-OS 495 (negotiation) - Planning documents due each class + final paper
Yup, I'm a busy girl yet again this semester... I'll get through it.
Also, the committee to search for my new boyfriend is in effect. (Ok, so it's a joke committee but it's still fun). I just hate it when people like me and I don't feel the same way, because then I feel bad. Ahem, Greg. O well... Life will continue... besides, I just need to find the right person. Until then: party and have fun. I feel great.
