Okay I've listened to them all and you've killed me. This is so beautiful and well-put together. So here's what I think. -The Ray LaMontagne song is perfect. For some reason the first image that came to my mind is that this song is one they would play in a movie during a montage of two characters taking a road trip, being cute, flashing by the scenery, stopping for sandwiches, and just being in love. Okay. -That Madonna song actually fits in perfectly. I approve. "Don't ever tell me to stop" - YES. -The Book of Love actually brought tears to my eyes. wow. The Magnetic Fields version is not nearly as emotional as this one is, although it's a little more romantic. The violins and Peter Gabriel's absolutely gorgeous voice just kill me. So beautiful. -"You love me too / it's as simple as that" IT REALLY IS -The Stephen Kellogg song was at first a little too "country" for me but after I listened to it like two more times I just loved it. The lyrics are so poetic and it's a great song. Love it. -"My Name is Trouble" ooh this is a great song. it's actually so catchy, for the lyrics being so sad. -I like jimmy eat world, actually. another great song, a great addition. -that leona naess song is so pretty! her voice is beautiful, and i love how it's so subtle, like nothing too loud or over the top, just a little backing drum and a guitar and her voice and a little more later in the song. -FLEETWOOD MAC. I LOVE EVERY FLEETWOOD MAC SONG EVER. I LOVE THAT YOU PUT THEM IN HERE. -Give Me Love makes me cry almost every time I listen to it. The chorus is so breathtakingly powerful, his voice mixed with his guitar and wow i'm getting emotional over this song. definitely second favorite ed song (the first has to be kiss me, no exceptions.) -THE LUCKIEST IS SUCH A BEAUTIFUL SONG AND BEN FOLDS IS MY IDOL WOW IT'S SO HEARTBREAKINGLY HONEST I CANNOT DO THIS
i'm sorry for writing this novel but i like these songs, like a lot. whew. xoxo
THANK YOU. I LOVE YOU. I LOVE YOUR NOVELS/BULLETED RESPONSES.
-YES OMG RAY LAMONTAGNE, HARRY/LOUIS, ROADTRIP. Done. Dead. -LOL I KNOW random Madonna song for the win. Whatevs, homegirl is a bad@$$ - ughhh I know Peter Gabriel's voice esp in that song brings tears to my eyes. - :DDDD - I seriously love Stephen Kellogg. Yeah, some of his music is a little too country/folky for me (5 years in Nashville and I still hate 95% of country music) but the lyrics are just so great and ugh. I think this song is for/about his daughter actually but whatevs, still great. - I KNOW "My Name Is Trouble" is so weird/awesome bc it's so sad but catchy! Ugh I love it. - Gotta love Jimmy Eat World. Brings back memz of middle school lolz - Leona Naess is wonderful. Her albums are all brilliant. - WHO DOESN'T LOVE FLEETWOOD MAC. THAT SONG IS SO GREAT. AS IS EVERYTHING ELSE. - Ed kills me. That song kills me. It's so emotional and beautiful and akjfiauhergiauehtruieg - THE LUCKIEST. IT HAD TO BE THERE AND IT HAD TO BE LAST. Like, people say it's cheesy but it is SO HONEST and so sweet and I just die every time and I'm in love with Ben Folds. The end.
<3 the ben folds song! it's like, the lyrics are a bit cheesy but the way it's composed it so beautiful. he's such a talented pianist and I have just so much appreciation for any artist who's musically talented as well as lyrically talented like ben. and ED. ED ESPECIALLY.
