Most of you probably know that
Gary took over editing the
Masques V from Jerry Williamson after Jerry's health failed.
I've got a story in the antho, as does Ray Bradbury, Richard Matheson,
docbrite, Christopher Conlon, Tom Piccirilli, Geoff Cooper, Tim Waggoner, Judi Rohrig, and many others. Bradbury was one of my literary heroes growing up, and I'm pretty geeked to be sharing space in a book with him.
Also, it's got cover art by the one and only Clive Barker. (Those of you who've been reading my journal for a while may remember the day when I was sick with the flu and went to the phone and Barker was on the other end asking for Gary. Well, that was why: cover art negotiations!)
The anthology should be back from the printer's in June. Gary's put an incredible amount of work into seeing the book to print; picture the amount of work you think would go into editing an anthology after the stories have been chosen (Jerry picked all the stories himself, but had a debilitating stroke before the contracts were sent out), and then multiply that by about 10.
There's a
review of Masques up on The Agony Column; so far, so good.
