school update
can't i just be done with school? i'm sick of it... yuck-o! This semester is going to be tough.. it's gonna be a lot of work and a lot of writing... my favorite (note the sarcasm).
My Spanish 7 (intro to literature) class should be decent, I'm hoping it won't be too difficult, since it's my last real class I have to take for my minor.
Behavior Disorders doesn't seem too bad... there's an 8 page paper due at the end of the class, but hopefully it won't be that bad. the first chapter that I read was basically a review of intro psych. I'm looking forward to getting into specific disorders (i know we study schizophrenia a lot...).
I/O will be interesting. I"ve never had a night class, and I don't like it already, and the professor seems extremely disorganized. but I started reading the "reader" we have, and our prof said that if you don't like it, then a career in I/O isn't for you... I LOVE it, it's really interesting to me. There is also a significant amount of writing for this class.. 5 3-pg papers on 5 different labs we do in class, 5 3-pg papers on critiques of articles we read, and then a 10 page paper due at the end and a group presentation.
Then Advanced Research.. the doozie of them all. meets 4 hrs/week. he said that we should devote about 12 hrs outside of class. 25% of our grade is doing the reading and showing up, 10% is a presentation we have to give to the entire department (yipe!) and 65% is a 35-pg paper about the research we do (big YIPE!).
and thats about it.... someone shoot me in the head! oh, and i have to start studying for the GRE and i'm SO unprepared.. yipe!!!
