heh, i realized the 1st entry here was dated in 2009, just goes to show how up to date the computers here in Peru are...
went to Lima yesterday as predicted. bought few things to bring back and such, like i said before. My dad told me to leave my watch, sunglasses, and anything else that was expensive home since in Lima people steal and run, grab you, threaten you, or all of those things, if they see something expensive. Flea markets in Lima can be quite fun. I find random car honks to off people or vice versa funny. I find my mom bargaining with the shop owner to get a lower price on stuff odd, but funny too.
Speaking of funny, that night i went to a comedy show, which was apparently for 18 and over. Guess I looked like I was old enough :) maybe they didn't care about me as long as they got their money...anyway, the comedian was hilarious, ing jokes on the latest politicians and canidates for president in harsh ways. Although i couldn't get some jokes, i got the ones with physical motions. I wanna try to watch some program on tv in the most randomest language and see if i can get it, you guys should too.
Today I went up north to a town called Chancay to visit my grand uncle. Nice, quiet farmland area. I didn't visit my uncle's barn collection of 2,000+ ginea pigs and rabbits as i was afraid I would get sick again like i did 2 years ago when i entered that room, ugh i don't want that feeling again with a cloged up throat, red eyes, difficult breathing, and wheezing...well, i got bored doing nothing there, so my dad sent me to accompany this dude on his tractor as he shipped the corn to some place. U should've seen how hard the people work there, even the little 2 year olds help, hell, the 1 year old helped her mother peal some corn! everyone knows each other there, since it took a lot of teamwork to plow, grow, herd, and sell the corn. Their hard work make us look lazy, even though most of us are anyway, or at least i am...
So im kinda tired now, around 9pm here, still have to do vacation assignments and enjoy vacation itself at the same time. Stay classy!
