Well said. According to me, "а по-моему" is best rendered as "and I would say."

    But the attenuation of emphasis implicit in And I would say seems to run counter to the brash presumption of А по-моему. After all, our heroes are dispensing and absorbing categorical criticism, not hypothetical sayings.
