Watch That First Step, It's a Doozie
I realize I am never on here anymore. Sorry. I read you all slightly more often than I post. Sorry about that too. With social networking verbotten at work, it becomes amazingly unimportant once you are forcefully disconnected from it.
Life is very good. Complicated, but if life isnt complex, you're probably doing something wrong. So, all in all, good.
Anyway, I posted this on Facebook on Saturday.
(God, you have no idea how hard this is to type, even after already spilling the beans on Facebook.)
I am scheduled to undergo gastric bypass surgery on January 14, 2010, at Bon Secours St. Mary's Hospital.
Like I said on Facebook, encouragement and prayers are gratefully accepted. Skepticism, negativity, and derision will be ignored. Questions about the procedure and its effects on me or about how it will affect us finishing out as Baronage are legit, so feel free to ask if you really want to know. (Remember, I cannot respond during work hours and I check my email at most once on the weekends, so responses might have to come via BdeB.)
This has been really hard for me to open up about. I mean really hard. My family doesnt even know yet (aside from my mother and only because she lives with me).
I do want you all to know. And I do need your support, love, prayers, and concern. I am also fragile enough that I cannot handle much second-guessing or horror stories. I'm just being honest. Not to say that criticism, especially well-intended, isnt valuable, but I'm just not there with this right now.
