Interview meme - what the hell!

Apr 15, 2007 21:09

I'm pretty new around here so I decided to try out this interview meme that I found on karihan's journal.

The rules:

1. Leave me a comment saying, "INTERVIEW MY MAGNIFICENCE, PEON."
2. I'll then respond by asking you up to five questions. You will answer them, because you like talking about yourself.
3. You will update your LJ with the answers to the questions.
4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the post.
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.

I know a few people here ... feel free to comment and I'll interview you!

The Q&A:

Click for my answers to karihan's questions to me:

1. Do you have any pets?

Haha ... no pets, not even a fish. I'm scared of dogs (I blame the nasty black poodle that chased me every day afterschool when I was five ... oh and the German Shepard that bit my shoelaces off as I tried to bike away from it). Cats ... kinda cute but I've stayed over at friends with cats ... you don't get any sleep. So, my husband and I had kids instead ... and didn't get any sleep :) ... well for the first 3 months with each ... so not bad!

2. Was there a particular scene that sparked your interest in Laura Roslin and Bill Adama, and if so, what?

Well, Roslin had me at hello, as in the swearing in scene in the mini. I was just blown away that this woman who had just been given a death sentence was taking the oath of office. I'd be crying in a corner somewhere. There are a lot of little scenes I loved between Roslin and Adama. And here's where my newbieness will come out ... when they kissed in RSII, I thought I was the only one who *loved* it. I figured, who would be into this couple like I am?? Turns out piles of people and I've had so much fun meeting them! Still think my fav A/R scene is the one from RSI (where she asks for one of the Cylon bodies) ... melted from the look on Adama's face in that scene.

3. What is your favorite dessert, and why?

Easy, a really good bar of chocolate. I'm not sure it's better than sex (well some days it is, lol) but it's the ultimate in comfort dessert.

4. What sets Taosit Tai Chi apart from other forms? (I'd like to get back into Tai Chi myself some day. 8^)

Taoist Tai Chi was actually first introduced in Canada (where I'm from) by Master Moy. He came to Canada in the 70s. It's actually one of the first forms to ever be taught to the general public. There are Taoist Tai Chi clubs all over the world and your membership entitles you to attend classes anytime, any day, anywhere around the world. This particular form consists of 108 moves performed gently and slowly. Some other forms focus more on breathing or on more contact (like Tai Chi Chaun). Master Moy also introduced a form of tai chi practiced with a sword! I have yet to learn this one :). I can't use a knife without cutting myself, lol!

5. You've been to Tunisia; where would you most like to travel next?

To tell the truth, I'm a bit of a home body but when the kids are older I would love to go to Europe and take in a Mens or Womens world hockey championship or junior world tournament. And see the sites of course. My husband wants to go to Australia and we probably will ... I just don't know if I could survive the 14 hour flight.

Ok ... now if I can just get fanfiction.net to post the last part of my story, I'll be a happy girl!
