Money don't get everything it's true

But it's what I'm gonna ask for here.

As alluded to in my previous entry, on May 17, 2008, I will participate in the Ride to Provide 2008, an annual, one-day bicycling event that raises critical funds for Fan Free Clinic. I'll be doing the 25 mile ride; I'm not nearly in shape for a 100 mile or even 100 kilometer ride. And besides, I have to drive to Tom's River NJ that afternoon (more about that another time). I am primarily familiar with the clinic for providing assistance to people living with HIV and free testing. FFC also provides medical treatment, health education and social services to people in the Richmond area with limited access to care, placing special emphasis on welcoming the least served. My participation in this year's Ride to Provide will help FFC continue its important work in my community.

You can help, too, by supporting me in my cycling efforts: Your tax-deductible gift will make a difference to the thousands of individuals whose lives are touched each year by Fan Free Clinic.

To support me and this worthwhile cause, please consider making an online donation by clicking the link below. You can track my progress on my own individual Ride to Provide fundraising web page

P.S. - For more information about Fan Free Clinic, visit www.fanfreeclinic.org.

[EDIT on 4/30 ...] If perchance you work for a matching gifts company, you might need this: EIN = 54-0927792

Also, at this point, I am already absolutely OVERWHELMED by the response I've gotten. I can't access LJ or many other sites from work, but sitting there watching my gmail inbox fill up with notifications of donations was making me all verklempt yesterday. I'm gonna do a good ride for all y'all, I promise!!
