[WIP] Diverse Undies Mod

Sep 03, 2011 15:15

I kind of want to make a mod for Oblivion. Better (or at least more varied) TNGD underwear options. Yes, I know, it's a silly thing to nitpick. But I'm wondering if I can make the difference races each use different underwear. Because I'm basically constantly ripping off bandits' clothes for my own use, Lol, and more visual difference between the various races (as opposed to more stat difference -- I am happy with how Vanilla handles that, unlike some people) is something I'd totally go for.

Plans:

Bloomers for imperials/bretons/redguards/altmer/maybe dunmer -- maybe with a shift for the altmer and a less-fancy shift (or even modern-cut undies) for the dunmer -- etc.

For bosmer and nords, if someone could convert this for TGND...

Beast races use the standard kind. I could make a simple white or darker brown recolor of the standard HGEC undies for TGND, actually, and let people mix and match with those, if I figure out how to do OMOD scripting...?

Something entirely different for Dark Seducers/Golden Saints, of course. (The pants from this would make a good all-purpose fancy loincloth.)

EDIT: Here is the forum post I made and its myriad responses, in case I lose it.

I am well on my way to doing this, actually. I think the biggest pain in the butt will be making unequippable versions of all the different types of underwear. I already have some minor experience with scripting (basic ones -- CSS, some Java, various WoW roleplaying mods, and I am coding this in HTML like it's English as we speak), so the actual script might indeed be as easy as Drake said. I just have to make sure it's not going wacky.

Actual Mod Stuff

I need to do Golden Saints/Dark Seducers last. I don't have a good idea of what I want to do with them -- not a solid one, anyways. So, Imperials first. I need to get the Bloomers mod, roll a rich imperial, and find out which looks best. Then I need to start this mod!

I could do different-colored bloomers for other human races, or use a different top. If I'm scripting it, that means people won't be able to choose (and I can't change my mind as easy) -- I need to make solid choices on this.
