It is official. I am the father of a teenager. Help me.
Yes, Sam is 13 today. And what did I wake up to this morning? Sam standing over my bed, arms crossed and staring at me. "Dad," he says, "I'm 13 now. I think we decided this is when we'd discuss this needing a babysitter thing."
Of course, then I distracted him with chocolate chip pancakes and his first present of the day. (insert sarcasm) Oh I am looking forward to this year..so much.
Anyway..we're hanging out at home with pizza, ice cream, cake, movies and silly string tonight. If anyone would like to drop by, you're more than welcome.
I'm so happy my boy is home with me, on his birthday, turning 13. He's really the best thing that's ever happened to me...and the best thing I've ever done.
