Larry wandered into CJ's on Saturday night, and headed over to the bar. Sam was spending the night with a friend, and Larry didn't feel up for sitting home alone. He was in a clea pair of khaki slacks and a not too thick black sweater. He was pretty oblivious as to how well the sweater fit him.

"Larry!" Scotty called out. Larry matched the man's grin and drummed his fingers on the bar.

"Scotty, my good man. How are you?"

Scotty shrugged. "Can't complain." Without being told, he poured Larry a scotch and passed it over the bar. Larry picked it up and sipped it as he looked around the bar.

"God it's dead tonight. Where is everyone?"

"Good question. CJ's gone for awhile, I guess people don't wanna be here when she's not."

Larry glanced at the barren stage. "Isn't Oliver supposed to be playing tonight?"

"Yeah, he's sick," Scotty nodded. "That or he's passed out under the influence of a couple substances, I didn't ask."

Larry laughed. "Right." He took another sip from his glass. He spotted something behind the bar and hoisted himself up a bit to look over. He grinned. "You brought your guitar, again. Come on. CJ isn't here," he lead.

Scotty raised his brows. "What? Tonight?"

"Yeah, tonight. Come on." He glanced at the few regulars that were hanging out. "You guys won't mind if we jam a bit?" They shook their heads and Larry went to the stage and sat behind the piano. He leaned into the mic and lowered his voice. "Scott, this is God speaking..jam, baby. Jam with Larry."

"Crazy bastard," Scotty laughed. He picked up his guitar and jumped over the counter and went up to the stage. It took him aw minute to hook it into the amp, but then he sat down on the stool and glanced over at the piano. "Got anything in mind?"

"Let's just play it out some, brother," Larry closed his eyes like Stevie Wonder and shook his head slightly, as he began a slow bluesy tune on the piano. Scotty smiled and faded in, bringing the speed up some with his guitar, making it sound more raw. Larry met the challenge and brought the beat up, and the two played that way for awhile.

"Mmm," Scotty said, bent over, really into his playing. "We need some drums, man."

Larry shrugged. "We'll call someone next time." They went silent and played more. After awhile, Larry called out. "How about some Stevie Ray Vaughn?"

"Ooh," Scotty grinned, pulling a long riff on his strings. "I can do some Stevie. You?"

"I got it," Larry nodded. He quickly segued into the start of "Look At Little Sister". Scotty quickly joined and the two played it with their all. By the end of the song, the few people that had been in the bar had moved up front, and a handful of people had come in from the street. Larry and Scotty grinned at each other, before launching into another song.
