laundry, apartments, and x-files
It's funny how things turn out, how I end up somewhere completely different from where I planned to be about a year ago.
Scott and I finally found an apartment. It's in Springville, UT and it's a basement apartment. Everything is newly renovated and we are the first tenants since the place has been remodeled.
The only thing is that the lights in the laundry room are out, so last night, while doing the piles and piles of dirty laundry, I had to go back and forth to the creepy laundry room.
Well it wasn't creepy at first.
I was home alone and I decided that I would watch the x-files to help numb my brain as I did the laundry, but because of my choice in entertainment, I started to realize how scary the laundry room looked, the big oversize pipes along the walls, the funny humming sound coming from the heater, the fact that I had to use my cell phone as a makeshift flashlight to see the buttons on the washer and dryer. It was as if all of a sudden I realized how that laundry room would be a great beginning scene for an x-files episode, and I started to imagine all sorts of horrible things happening to me while taking my clothes out of the dryer...
Anyways, I wish I could update more often on my lj. It's such a great stress reliever, but alas, I do not have internet, and I haven't had it for a while. Gah.
Not to mention the keyboard here at the library sucks and all the keys stick.
