Wir Sind Fur Die Musik Eboren
The word for the weekend was 'Awesome' - some of the absolutely best bands on the planet, all in a teeny weeny space in Knebworth for the entertainment of, well, me (and 54999 others...)
Went up to Dans on Thursday and drank some beer and watched some or Mr Smiths fine moving pictures... this was to become a theme for the weekend, somewhat unsurprisingly...
So, Friday, after embarrasing myself with a breakfast failure - not only not finishing a fine cooked breakfast, but not getting close - we went up and pitched tents. Had a friendly beer with me brother, and then into the middle of the action:
Thought I might go through each band, but just lets say all the bands were awesome - highlights:
TURISAS; TERRORVISION (on Friday); LACUNA COIL; FEAR FACTORY; ANTHRAX; RAMMSTEIN (super, super awesome) and THERAPY? playing through Troublegum (even with the power cutting out after the first verse of Knives twice) on Saturday; and SKINDRED; SLAYER; ALICE IN CHAINS and of course IRON MAIDEN on Sunday
Add in extra curricluar fun - Dodgems Hat Wars, a general quoteathon; chilling out; watching and then participating in Silent Disco
Now very tired, very chilled, and very very happy.
