Medically necessary procedures and LJ friends
I spent lunch time naked with a woman other than my darling wife. Oh and I also got my flu shot.
I got an hour long massage with my regular RMT, Megan today. There is a medical clinic in our building and I have been getting treatments from Megan for 8 months now. I like her. I find with a RMT it is like a relationship with a barber. There is the default server - customer relationship but you also want a rapport so that the intimacy of touch is relaxed. She always finds a tight muscle on me that I did not know about and gives me a stretch to help resolve it. Eventually I will have a 20 minute stretching routine from her advice alone. It was my forearm today. I will miss having ready access to a RMT when I move away so I am taking advantage of this opportunity now.
Totally unrelated I think I am developing a cold. I am probably weak from the work and stress of moving. I must ensure I get proper sleep over the next two nights. I can not afford to be coughing up a lung on Friday while we move.
I was looking at my list of friends. LJ is interesting the way you can cross paths with people you would normally not meet. You can establish friendships which may remain electronic. Maybe you will arrange to even meet in a city in which neither of you live. Or perhaps you will meet and sleep together, as happened to me once. Or it can just be an electronic relationship.
I doubt every much I will cross paths with the young woman in Hawaii who has befriended me. I discovered to my delight that a Lady from Calontir (now moved back to Canada with her American husband) has me as a friend. I think we only meet once or twice but we did exchange e-mails a number of years ago. IIRC a very talented and witty woman. Also pretty which if you know me is a weakness. It is interesting how the world is changing with this rapid increase in computing power and telecommunications but is a whole other post.
Well back to work. Too much to do this afternoon.
