...speaking of insurance
I am so grateful Massachusetts forced everyone to get health insurance. For the past 3 years I haven't had any sort of insurance because I couldn't bear to pay for it. I would just like to revel in how lucky I am that I became covered under Commonwealth Care (for free!*) just 2.5 months before I really needed it. With all this eye stuff, I'd be paying for an emergency room visit, optometrist, painkillers and 3 different types of eyedrops (one of which costs $105...$105 for 5 mL of antibiotics!). Disgustingly lucky. Yay, Massachusetts!
