Today I got up at 2am and hiked to the summit of 12,995ft Mt. Sopris.
I'm staying in Colorado with Winslow at his sister (Haley) and her husband's (Matt) house. Last night Matt suggested we night hike up Mt. Sopris to catch the sunrise from the summit. It left us about 2 hours to sleep before heading out. Freeeezing cold out, but once you get moving you can keep quite warm. Kind of scary hiking at night because there are bears and mountain lions (we in fact saw a bear dash accross the road as we were driving to the trailhead), but it's nice to be out of the sun and time passes quickly in the dark. Round trip it took 10 hours. I can't move.
