And so here he sat, on Opening Day in the brand new Nationals Park, under orders from Webster to check for any conspiracies obvious in the advertising. Or something like that. Bob just sort of took the tickets and ran.

My favourite part right there. I would so be doing what Web is doing. And now that I've realised that, I'm crying just a little bit on the inside, LOL

But yeah, this is awesome! Admittedly, I know next to nothing about baseball, but it was still fun to read. I was extra excited with this being interaction between Leckie and Hoosier. \o/

Thank you, bb!

If it makes you feel better, Web only orders assignments like that when he can't find any "real government news" to delve into. And he really does it just to shut Ray up about the Illuminati.

I am really, really trying to get the feel of Team Leckie. All of their ficlets are kind of an experiment on my part. Next up is def. some Runner and Chuckler, since I haven't really gone to their side of Team Leckie yet.

CONSPIRACIES ARE ALL AROUND US.

I'm loving all the experimentation you're doing. Funnily enough, I'm kind of in the same place you are. I accidentally a fic and it's set in Buffalo. And Leckie's there... and Hoosier's there. And so are the rest of TL, but, y'know, certain aspects of their relationship/s are different now that they're all modern and it is trickier.

Especially concerning Hoosier. And I did write this one scene with Chuckler that had me thinking, 'Chuckler. I do love you, but there's no way in hell you could respond with something that deep. Not intentionally anyway.'

That said. RUNNER AND CHUCKLER. FLAILING!!!

It really is tricky trying to shift the team dynamics to modern times and that's honestly, half the reason I work with so many ficlets. Though, with Hoosier and his name at the very least, you can make all the refernces to that damn movie in the world. (That said, WOOOOOOT to your fic.)

Chuckler can too have deep thoughts...like Jack Handy.

No, but really, in my mind Chuckler is the type of person who is actually really damn good at what he does, but he's also a special little snowflake that makes people wonder HOW he is so damn good at his job. Esp. when he is distracted by shiny things and food.
