Sometimes I am a year or so behind in cross posting.
Team Leckie from a request by
uniformly All The Best Stories This sort of became a Team Leckie mix through the eyes of Leckie and ending on a defiant anthem. Yeah, I don’t know either. I sort of did it to the vague timeline of the Team Leckie-centric episodes but either way, I hope you enjoy it, Nat!
1. The Ballad Of Me and My Friends by Frank Turner
And we’re definitely going to Hell
But we’ll have all the best stories to tell
2. Here’s Looking At You, Kid by The Gaslight Anthem
And you can tell Jane, if she writes
That I'm drunk off all these stars and all these crazy Hollywood nights
That's total deceit
But she should've married me
And tell her I spent every night of my youth on the floor
Bleeding out from all these wounds
I would've gotten her a ride out of that town she despised
You tell that to Janie, if she writes
But boys will be boys and girls have those eyes
That will cut you to ribbons sometimes
And all you can do is just wait by the moon
And bleed if it's what she says you ought to do
3. Oh! Glory by Panic! At the Disco
Lately it seems like
Everybody’s sick, everybody’s died
Build myself a wall up on happy highs
And only my heart knows my head is lying, lying
Oh glory, I think I see you ‘round the bend
4. The Ladies of London Town by Frank Turner
You dance as if you’re hours away from death,
You’re wearing too much make-up and showing too much flesh,
And you smile a smile to take away my breath,
Because tonight, and only tonight, you know you’re the best.
5. Closing Time by Semisonic
Closing time - open all the doors and let you out into the world
Closing time - turn the lights on over every boy and every girl.
Closing time - one last call for alcohol, so finish your whiskey or beer.
Closing time - you don't have to go home but you can't stay here.
6. Blown Away by Shiny Toy Guns
Days,
I haven't seen days
Just solid water
Down my face
Days,
I've missed so many days
In a world that has become,
An unfamiliar place
Now to you,
I'm just an unfamiliar face
7. Boys Are Back In Town by Thin Lizzy
Guess who just got back today?
Those wild-eyed boys that had been away
Haven't changed, haven't much to say
But man, I still think those cats are great
8. Lost In My Mind by The Head and the Heart
Oh my brother,
Your wisdom is all I need
Oh my brother,
Don’t you worry about me
9. Pardon Me by Incubus
A decade ago, I never thought I would be,
at twenty three, on the verge of spontaneous combustion.
Woe-is-me.
But I guess that it comes with the territory;
an ominous landscape of never ending calamity.
10. SING by My Chemical Romance
Sing it for the boys
Sing it for the girls
Every time that you lose it sing it for the world
Sing it from the heart
Sing it till you're nuts
Sing it out for the ones that'll hate your guts
Sing it for the deaf
Sing it for the blind
Sing about everyone that you left behind
Sing it for the world
Sing it for the world

David Webster, from a request by
archae_ology,
Better With The Pen I went very tongue-in-cheek with this mix, because Webster is one of those characters where I’m amused by his faults and his inability to realize he always says the wrong things. The last track, however, is not so much poking fun, but more, tying into his life after the war.
1. Fame < Infamy by Fall Out Boy
When I'm home alone, I just dance by myself.
And you pull my head so close volume goes with the truth.
Signing off, I'm alright in bed, but I'm better with the pen.
The kid was alright, but it went to his head.
I am God's gift, why would he bless me
with such wit without a conscience equipped.
And I'm addicted to the way i feel when I think of you
"There's too much green to feel blue."
2. Bigmouth Strikes Again by The Smiths
Bigmouth, bigmouth
Bigmouth strikes again
And I've got no right to take my place
With the human race
3. The Real Damage by Frank Turner
I started the night with all my friends and I ended up alone.
Oh yes I started out so happy now I'm hungover and down.
It was about then that I realized I was half-way through the best years of my life.
I scanned the local landmarks, trying to find out where I was,
And maybe even find a bus back home,
I was longing for a shower, and for clean sheets, and a charger for my phone.
Suddenly it hit me - I got paid this Friday last, so I rifled through my pockets for some change.
But all I found was a packet of broken cigarettes and a sinking sense of shame.
4. I Won’t by Stereo Is a Lie
Call out the dogs
There’s no scent
Lay down your head
Get some rest
Count out the days
You’ve spent
Chasing a ghost
5. Run My Mouth by Ra Ra Riot
When I dream, it's not of you
Something in your voice that I can't hear
But some company it is
Because I feel so close when I wake
And in fifty years no one will care
That I was once there
6. French Kissing Life by Kenny Chesney
Don't really know what day it is
Been rocking nine days in a row
All I know is it's hurricane season
And any minute she's gonna blow
I need a shave and I need some rest
I know some people are worried about me
But I'm french kissing life square in the mouth
Sailing out on the sea

Harry Welsh from a request by
skew_whiff,
Lilting Laughter Right, so this pretty much became a Harry and Kitty mix. I just, I can’t help it, Skew, I am so sorry.
1. The Wrong Company by Flogging Molly
Well I fell into prison about a quarter till three
Where I found in my cell a glass waiting for me
So I filled what was empty and I pulled up a stool
But he stood in the corner, the old devil wouldn't move
He said, "You drink when you're lonely." No I drink when I want!
He said, "You'll never be sober." Sure. Why would I want that?
I only drink to be merry but unfortunately
I'm in the wrong prison cell and the wrong company
2. Peg O’ My Heart by Dropkick Murphys
Since I heard your lilting laughter
It's your Irish heart I'm after
Peg o' my heart
3. Kitty by The Pogues
In a day now I'll be over the mountain
There'll be time enough left for to cry
So good night and God guard you forever
And write to me once you get by
So good night and God guard you forever
And write to me once you get by
4. Rivers and Roads by The Head and The Heart
Nothing is as it has been
And I miss your face like hell
And I guess it's just as well
But I miss your face like hell
5. The Fastest Way Back Home by Frank Turner
We fell in love in the summer
When the skies were clear
But I'm still wearing my coat from winter last year
I need to set my house in order
Confess and cover my sins
I need to make a home for you before inviting you in
6. From the Back of a Broken Dream by Flogging Molly
Come back young volunteer
For your war now it is over
Lay down your blackened gun
Not another bad word spoken
Come tell of all you've seen
To the soul you're no longer killing
And rest your weary voice
The last battle song has cried

George Luz from a request by
fishandcheese,
The Joker For Luz’s mix I focused on the fact that in Band of Brothers he brings the group together, often through song. Whether it be “Blood on the Risers” to silence Sobel and get his fellow Paratroopers through Currahee, or “Oklahoma” for a moment of fun and just a bit of mockery, I think Luz is right up there with Harry Welsh for being one of the most beloved.
1. The Joker by Steve Miller Band
Cause I'm a picker
I'm a grinner
I'm a lover
And I'm a sinner
I play my music in the sun
I'm a joker
I'm a smoker
I'm a midnight toker
I sure don't want to hurt no one
2. Memorial Day by Dropkick Murphys
Come join the fight
So we can change the way we’re living
What’s left inside?
If you believe
Believe you’ll never give in
Come join the fight
Turn away and you’ll be sure to lose it
Hold onto those dreams
They’re the one thing they can’t take away now
What’s left inside?
If you believe
Believe you’ll never give in
3. Bullying the Jukebox by Bouncing Souls
Songs of punk and songs of joy,
love songs about girls and boys;
songs of metal and English stuff and some hardcore
songs to make us feel tough
but we all agreed that the songs of woe,
and the songs of loved ones had to go
Churned up memories of time we dreamt that got us all
verklempt
We drank until our last song
We paid our tab and we said so long swerving in and out of cars...
it's off to rock another bar
4. Pass It Along by Frank Turner
Sing till you sweat for the spirit of the age
Sing life to lines that are dead on the page
Sing for your sorrow, your wisdom, your rage, sing out
Sing for the records you played till they broke
For the parts where you insisted that nobody spoke
Sing for the words that you knew but they still made you choke
Sing out
And because a funny man deserves a funny song:
5. Backwards by Rascal Flatts
I was sitting on a bar stool
At a barbeque joint in Tennessee
When this old boy walked in
And he sat right down next to me
I could tell he'd been through some hard times
There were tear stains on his old shirt
And he said, "You wanna know what you get
When you play a country song backwards?"
