These two, they're just, ugh. Fluffy bunny cotton candy rainbow sparkles unicorns of joy. That's like, seriously, the only way to describe these two.

(...also, runner wearing a fedora? pretty much can't unsee him dressed like joey ice cream in this verse, now.) i really like the way chuckler is portrayed in this -- their personalities have translated over wonderfully to this au, because i read things and i go 'oh, yes, this fits. yes, this definitely fits.' and that's how i feel about chuckler's charisma, his sense of (un)style, his gentle sweetness. and runner's thought process, which is just, so runner. lmao.
AND YEAH, OKAY, THEY ARE MADE OF SUNSHINE AND SPICE AND EVERYTHING NICE. APPARENTLY THEY ARE SECRETLY POWERPUFF GIRLS. PLEASE TO WRITE FLUFFY CHUCKLER/RUNNER FOREVER.

Runner in a fedora? Sooooo Joey Ice Cream. I was picturing just how out of place Runner would be at a county fair in the Midwest in the middle of nowhere and Joey Ice Cream popped right into my head.
I actually adore writing Chuckler and his just, general sweetness. Like, I cannot write him being anything but jokingly mocking. Even when I try to write angry!Chuckler it still makes me go, "awww, how sweet."
DO NOT PUT POWERPUFF GIRL! RUNNER/CHUCKLER INTO MY HEAD.
And yes. It pleases me to know end that people see and appreciate that. I know I'm fudging some of the actual truth/how it's really done up, but I like to think there's a nice base of knowledge there.

I am trying to do as much research as I can to get the bare basics of the various music scene/business jargon at least somewhat correct, since everything else I know about it comes from a) being a fan and b) bandom.
Backstory ficlets have pretty much become my bread and butter, but, I can't help it. I love writing them.

But anyway. Yes. I think one of my favourite things to read, y'know, with an established relationship, is pretty much how it starts. Oh, man. Reading this, and I'm like looking for all the little hints. Is all your interest solely because you want to sign him up, Runner? Is Chuckler listening because there's something else he wants to check out?
Juergens whistled. “Long way from home.” He sat down across from Runner. “So, give it to me.”
“Excuse me?” Runner asked.
Juergens still had the innocence to blush. He dropped his head down a little and muttered his next statement. “Your spiel,” he said. “The one you record execs always spin out.”
And this is the most adorable thing because it highlights the fact (or my assumption, either way), that Runner's still older and, aw.

I've been debating on how to go back and start the relationship between these two, but I def. wanted some sort of connection established from that first meeting, not the MFEO/love at first sight type thing, but a def. easy meshing of the personalities.
You were right on all points/assumptions! :) Runner is still the older of the two and Chuckler, while far from innocent, still has a whole heap of living left to do.
