Summer + Little Women + Barricade Day

So today is my first official day of summer. I am SUPER excited.

I had to go to my sister's Baccalaureate yesterday. I had no idea what that was until we go there. That's one of the awkward parts about being nonreligious and going to a religious school. All of these traditions that you don't understand... wfjdshafksda. It wasn't as long as I had feared. So.

We went home and watched Spelling Bee with my uncle, grandma, and grandpa, who had arrived the other day from UP NORTH. I miss that show. BUT I found out that we're doing Little Women (the musical) next year. I'm a little unhappy with the way the Musical Theatre class is being handled. It's received a lot of publicity from impressive shows in the past year or so and the classes are filling up like whoa. For Spelling Bee, we not only had to double cast the majority of the parts, but we had to audition and a lot of students were cut from the class. No one likes to be cut from a class that they signed up for, but the show would have had to have been TRIPLE cast... and that's NO FUN AT ALL. Anyways, my teacher is for WHATEVER REASON not having a cut off for kids signing up for the class. So the other semester that I'm not in has 23 students in it. They're doing The Drowsy Chaperone. They were originally going to do Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. But. You know. 23 students.

Anywho, Little Women. This is exciting. I have used Somethings Are Meant To Be as an audition song for a few years, and my friend and I sang it at a cabaret two years ago. I would like to be Beth but... judging my appearance, I'll be Amy. I can sing either part but I prefer Beth's. rkejskafhdskjahfa
WE WILL SEE WHAT HAPPENS NEXT YEAR.

Have fun, people who are in Paris for Barricade Day!  One of my friends is in Paris right now as a graduation gift and I told her to say hello if she happens to see a group of Les Mis fangirls walking around. Or to see the tour. Or both.
