There shall be no talk about the Yankees here. Safe to say there has been much discussion and none of it has been good. Changes must happen.

We still can't find an officiant for our wedding. I do not want my parents to have to pay $500 bucks for a freakin' half hour of work! And that fee doesn't even cover the rehersal. WTF?! What a racket they're running.

Some good news came out of this weekend. We went to the bank on Saturday and found out we can afford more than we thought we could. So we started looking at nicer places and found several we liked.

Place #1 - Located in town neighboring Danbury

PROS:

-Nice complex
-Vaulted ceilings everywhere
-2 bedrooms, plus loft
-Fireplace
-Private deck that was a pretty good size
-Decent sized rooms
-Seperate dining area

CONS:

-Loft had spiral metal steps leading up. Not sure how you could get anything up there.
-Weird storage thing in the wall of the master bedroom
-No garage
-Only one bathroom
-Old applicances in kitchen
-One level

Places #2 and #3 were located not only in the same complex, but were next door to each other. So needless to say the layout was identical, but reversed. Still, they had different quirks.

General Pros and Cons

PROS:

-2 large bedrooms
-2 bathrooms (one full and one half)
-Tri-level
-Basement room
-Garage
-Fireplace
-Seperate dining area

CONS:

-No patio/deck/outside area
-Popcorn ceilings
-Not a lot of closet space in bedroom

And now pros and cons based on that.

Place #2 - Danbury

PROS:

-Slightly larger bedrooms
-Great view from master bedroom

CONS:

-Carpet that would definitely need to be replaced right away upstairs.
-Dark brown carpet downstairs, even in dining area
-Older applicances
-Older washer dryer
-No closet for washer dryer
-Holes in walls from nails / every room would need to be repainted

Place #3 - Danbury

PROS:

-Newer kitchen applicances
-Pergo floors in dining area
-Attic storage
-Washer dryer behind closet

CONS:

-Too much blue carpet
-Older washer/dryer

Also I saw "The Departed" this weekend. It was good. Not fantastic, but good. Not really my kind of film, but I could appreciate it for what it was worth. Great acting by everyone in it too.
