So. I'm upset with Capcom.
I'm also upset with Squarenix or whatever they're called right now, because I read yet another preview of FFXII and if they compared it to a MMORPG one more time I was going to scream. It sounds like crap. What are they doing?!
But anyway. Forget that for now. I'm more upset with Capcom.
The magazine was Game Informer. The mailman only seems to deliver this to my house when he feels like it, because I *so* did not get my last issue.
On the cover? A preview of Devil May Cry 4 and a smoking hot picture of Dante.
At least, I thought it was Dante.
I opened up the magazine to read said preview and immediatly my jaw dropped in disgust.
That was not Dante.
It was some guy named Nero who looked exactly like Dante. He looked more like Dante's twin than Vergil.
The following conversation ensued.
Me: "What. The. Fuck."
Brian: "What?"
Me: *tosses magazine away in disgust* "That is not Dante."
Brian: "What?" *picks up magazine*
Me: "That's not Dante! That some guy named Nero!"
Brian: *starts reading article*
Me: "How could they do this? I feel betrayed! Capcom betrayed me! I thought that was Dante! How could they make a Devil May Cry game without Dante as the main character?! Who would want to play anyone that wasn't Dante?! Omg. Omg. I feel totally betrayed."
Brian: "Would you stop it?"
I am the drama queen of video games. If I don't like something, forget it. I will rant and rave. Brian takes the "wait and see" approach. He tries to not to judge something before it comes out. I, however, am the biggest prejudger in the world and have been proved wrong more times than I can keep track of.
But a Devil May Cry game?! Without Dante?! What the hell? Why? Why, Capcom? Why?
I don't know what's worse. Devil May Cry without Dante or another Final Fantasy game that's basically a stupid MMORPG.
Anyone wanna make their own video game?
games,
video games
