Lots of TV last night, three things to talk about.
Well, it's happened again. My favorite contestant was voted off and I will watch no more. And it's funny, because I had looked at the dialidol.com results last night and they had Chris *barely* in last place. And I had this exact conversation with Brian before the show last night:
Brian: "What will you do if Chris gets voted off?"
Me: "He won't get voted off. There's no way. The dialidol results don't count text messages."
Brian: "Yeah, but what if he does? Will you still watch?"
Me: "Yeah... I mean the top four are all really great this year, and they deserve to be there."
Well I LIED.
I like Katherine. Really. But now I don't even wanna look at her. I can't believe she made it through when Chris sang it much better. I really thought he would win. And I've been able to pick the winner every time.
And I still like Taylor and Elliot, but...neither deserved to win. Chris did! Argh. I'm so pissed. This happens almost EVERY YEAR and I am still watching...what the hell is wrong with me?
Oh well, I'm hoping he still gets a record contract, which I'm sure he will, and I'll definitely buy his album. I can't say that for any other AI contestant. I've got some singles, yes, but never a whole album. But I guess I'm partial to rock music and I love Chris' voice.
So anyway, AI you lost like 4 viewers now. Because I really can't watch anymore. Not even for Ryan Seacrest.
Just some quick bullets here.
-I'm glad Eko didn't really fall off the cliff.
-I didn't think that they would find the question mark chamber so quickly!
-Now it looks like punching in the numbers is fake, and I almost bought that, but then I thought about it and realized that this show is always trying to confuse you.
-I thought Libby would hang on a little longer, and I really wanted her to get out more words than just Michael.
-Poor Hurley broke my heart.
Now I am your typical Yankees fan. I demand near perfection from the players and I am quick to throw them under the bus if they fail to perform up to their standards. I've been known to throw MARIANO RIVERA under the bus, just to give you an idea, okay?
But despite that I always defend Arod. I don't know why, I just do. Even after the horrible game he had on Tuesday. In the early innings of the game last night, Brian and I had this conversation.
Brian: Arod never gets the big hit!
Me: That's not true.
Brian: Yes it is! He never gets the big hit when it matters! Especially against the Red Sox!
Me: I think Arod puts a lot of pressure on himself. But he's way better than everyone thinks he is.
Brian: I think we should trade him and get another third baseman.
Me: Who are you gonna get that's better than Arod?!
And so, flash to the fifth inning of the game, which is tied 3-3. Pitching is Curt Schilling, the evillest of all the evil Red Sox players. Definitely the most hated by Yankee fans. And up steps Arod, the guy who "never gets the big hit against the Red Sox." And he crushes the ball into the left field stands to give the Yankees a 4-3 lead.
Me to Brian: Who never gets the big hit now?!
OWNED!
