I've been losing my voice since yesterday afternoon, which is bad, considering my job revolves around talking. I told my boss about it, though, so I don't have to kill myself to take calls.
Yesterday's Yankee game was awesome! I thought for sure they were gonna lose. We left to go see Batman, and when we came back in the car we checked Brian's phone for the final game score and saw they had won! Giambi hit a HUGE homerun blast to win the game in the 10th! We stayed up past 2 a.m. watching the replay. I told Brian that his words the other day inspired Giambi. Ha ha. It really was good timing, because he's been playing really well ever since!
Hey, you never know how you might affect people.
Anyway, as I mentioned, we saw the new Batman. It was really good. It felt longer than 2 hours and 15 minutes, but not really in a bad way. I don't know why it felt longer. But it did, both Brian and I agreed. Anyway, the cast was awesome - Christian Bale is the best Batman yet. And the story was also great. It is very different from the other movies, but in a good way. Not like the new Harry Potter was different in a bad way. I wouldn't call it my 'favorite' Batman movie - because I really love 'Batman Forever', but it was still really great. Batman seemed more like a real person in this one, and Gotham seemed more like a 'real' city - not the stylized neon and chrome backdrop it has been in the past. Considering I don't really like any of the Batman films besides 'Batman Forever', there's not much competition there, but that didn't stop it from being a really good movie. I suggest seeing it.
