Happy Holidays to everyone!!! Christmas, Hannukah, Kwanzaa, Saturnalia, whatever your favorite flavor. I am so glad that I have found LJ and thankful for the friends that I have made in the short time that I have been on here. I know that I don't post nearly enough. I know that when I post a topic, it sounds like a ramble sometimes, but I think that it is a stream of consciousness thing sometimes...OK most of the time. I have been trying to get some things done around the house this week in preparation for the "family thing" this weekend and I hope you all understand.
devradigestion, I hope that you have a great visit with your son...that is what this time of year is all about...
guyblackcatThanks for giving me something to look forward to as I watch your progress toward successful completion of your dream...
boredmama, what can I say....? You are quite possibly the absolute, unequivocal, undeniable best...:) Here is hoping that your season is good and you get at least some of what you asked the jolly old elf for... To all the rest of you that have responded to requests to friend me or vice versa, I look forward to a great year with you all...
I plan to spend a good deal of time over this winter working on my family history, I have this winter tradiition, and hopefully I will have time to work on my book this winter as well. I finally got a good headset that will allow me to REALLY use speech technology, now if I can find a quiet spot in this house, YEAH RIGHT...I may be able to make that a reality in the next several months. It is a great story, unfortunately it is still locked up in my head, with the exception of a rough outline that I made one day at lunch...I have been playing with this story for several years and never seem to hit the motivation button at the right time to make it appear on that blank computer screen or sheet of paper. It will make it...and I will like it when it is done...even if no one else ever sees it....that way I will know it is the GREAT AMERICAN NOVEL....and don't have to worry about what anyone else thinks...(do you get the feeling that rejection doesn't come easily to me....not something that I have been dealt much in my life...but writing is a tough business).
Perhaps there will be a select group that will be able to read it, if, and when it ever gets written...still have a little more research to do before I will feel comfortable putting it to paper. Maybe in the spring...maybe not....LOL
Let me hear from you all....
{end of rant}
