Control....? What is that?

Things have been completely out of control the last couple of days. I am innundated with things that should not, and are not my responsibility simply because some people DO NOT want to make a stinking decision. I am a lowly turd in the overall heirarchy of this institution, and yet the folks that are in the positions of authority and decision-making are unable to 1) make a decision, 2) collect enough infomation to even thinik about making a decisoin, 3) trust the people that they ask to get the information to get the right information, 4) find their collective asses with both of their hands...even if they were confined to a phonebooth. Jesus, they drive me nuts. I have been forced into the position to make a million dollar plus decision about upgrading an existing system, just because no one else wants to learn about the old one. I am the only one that has extensive experience with it that is in a position to talk about and the vendor is in my face all the time wanting me to tell him that we are going to go with his products. That is not within the scope of my position, or even close. I am responsible for the overall day to day operations of the department, not purchasing equipment. I don't care what you buy...as long as it works and does what it is supposed to do. If it does, I will use it. If it doesn't, I will still use it...and formulate the workarounds that I need to make it do what we need to do. Just someone please, make a fucking decision and get off my ass!!!
