So, yesterday Papa and I went to France. It was three hours to Dover in the car, an hour and a half on The Pride of Dover, and then a brief drive in Calais... then all of that again on the way back. Tiring, to say the least.
I was aiming to restrain my father in the hypermarket, but after a while I realised it was futile, so I let him buy what he wanted. By the end, we had two enormous trolleys full to the brim. I didn't ask what it cost... We got some banana juice, which was among the more interesting purchases. It is nice, but seeing as bananas do not naturally lend themselves to fruit juice, I am suspicious. We also brought lots of nice looking French cheese. Mmmmmm. I love cheese.
One funny thing was the passport control in England. There was a French dude in the booth we went to on the phone, and he just waved us through without even checking we had passports! Honestly.
The crossing on the way to France was decidedly rocky, and there were people staggering about the ship. I am happy to announce that I did not get seasick in the slightest, oh no, not me.
Today, I have a hairdressing appointment. I also need to post Jonathan's parcel, which is already four days late.
Also, I was satisfied by the Heroes double bill on Wednesday. Not only was there Chrisopher Eccleston, but the heroes stopped being in denial about their powers, and started thinking "we've got to do something!"
