Drivin' on a prayer

I'm alive. And I'm in the library again.

It was life or death getting here. My bro drove me in the Jeep. Luke passed his driving test seven years ago and hasn't driven since (apart from some practice last week) so it was pretty scary, especially as the Jeep is a tempramental, ricketty beast.

Things have probably got better since I last wrote in here, because Rudi (the dog) is going to be okay (and is now bandaged up in a unbelievably cute way) and the Internet (apparently) is going to be fixed this weekend, apparently on Friday.

I've been reading a lot of teenage fiction. There's an idea for my third novel germinating, and I'm doing some research into the teenage market. I've pretty much given up on Finding Amity, now. I got some feedback, there are some things I could change, but I honestly don't have the energy. It's been two years, and I'm spent on it. Better the apply what I've learnt to something new.

My dad keeps eating ice cream. We're calling him 'Mr. Creamy' in an attempt to put him off.

books, life's little pleasures
