Austria
This is something of a tardy post, as we got back from skiing in Austria about 3 weeks ago, but LJ seems very quiet so I haven't got it together to post . . . until prompted by a request for photos. So, here's Zell am See, where we were staying, as seen from the Schmittenhohe, the mountain behind it.
That all probably looks too green for skiing, and the runs back to town were indeed pretty short of snow, but the skiing was better higher up, and better still on the nearby Kitzsteinhorn glacier.
Zell is a nice town and the Pension Klothilde is a fab guesthouse - we went there before in 2008 but they still knew we were returning guests and put a 'Lovely to see you again' card in the room, which was a nice touch :-)
Plus they have resident cats
