Haven't updated in ages.
You may be surprised to learn I still check LJ regularly. Or not.
Anyway, now that we have internet in the new place and I finally have a home again, I suppose I should start.
But my life isn't very interesting. I'm studying for my Ph.D. qualifying examinations, and playing with my dog. And obsessively washing dishes.
With Joe's fantabulous cooking, I gained about ten pounds in the first couple months we were dating. Which is scary, as I've never gained weight in my life. So I decided to regulate myself about a month ago, and those ten pounds are gone. Yay. I always feel faintly guilty being conscious of that sort of thing.
I also decided to take up swimming three days ago, and was delighted to discover I don't actually hate it. Utterly shocking.
But the real reason I'm posting: I've been stuck on a problem for the past hour. It wasn't making any sense at all. And then I'd realized I'd read "pion" as "lambda particle" the past 50 times I went over the problem. Which sounds weird I'm sure, but my symbol-word mapping is apparently rather lacking.
Ah, the elation of discovery.
