Well, it's for sure... Puppies apparently love Twinings Earl Grey with too much milk and sugar... Or maybe they're just masochistic.

Actually, I hope the small quantity of milk he got won't hurt him--I doubt it.

Milk is fine for them, especially as puppies. (They may grow lactose intolerant, like humans, as they grow up.)

But caffeine, and in particular theobromine (a caffeine-like molecule found in tea and more in chocolate) is very bad for them. Chocolate has been known to be lethal, since they'll eat a lot of it. (It's not so much that it's more lethal to dogs than to people. It's just that dogs are pigs and weigh less than humans.) Still, a few sips of tea will do no harm.

Sugar isn't so good for their teeth, so I'd advise keeping that away from them, too, but a little bit won't hurt. Unless you plan to brush their teeth frequently.

Oh, it was none of it intentional!

Hm, I thought I remembered milk being bad... But I guess I may well be misremembering. I think Petsmart said so and I can't find their puppy book right now.

This breed may be more lactose-intolerant than others. Or they may simply say, "Don't give it a taste for milk, in case they maintain it." Or I could be misremembering myself, but I was under the impression that it was reasonably safe for puppies.

Either way a tiny amount will do no harm, unless they turn out to be particularly lactose intolerant, in which case you'd be smelling it by now.
