(no subject)
I have currently been hard at work for UK Hospital for the past 44 days and just today did I manage to track down my first paycheck. Apparently the last two paychecks have gone Direct Deposit but my bank statements have shown no evidence of this. So where have about $600 worth of hard work gone? Who the hell knows. Into someone else's bank account perhaps? Lets hope not. Regardless, I did at least manage to track down my first paycheck in an obscure little run down building next to a parking garage about a mile from the hospital. Suz and I went on quite a strange little expedition looking for this thing and after 2 floors of nothing, 3 cramped elevator rides, and several wrong turns, we managed to find the payroll office where they had my much desired paycheck (for the first 2 weeks that is). Although it was nice to finally receive that, I am still a little worried about the supposed money that went "straight to my bank account." I swear, I'm suing if I don't get it.
In other random summer news, Suz and I fulfilled another summer list activity and made a 2 liter tornado using well... 2 liters. We put purple food coloring and little red shiny lips so that they swirl around. Yeah...we were bored.
Another gross happening at work: I answered an older man's call light and go into his room asking if I can get him anything. He then asks, "Honey, do you think my balls look inflamed?" He proceeds to whip up his gown and show me his rather red and enlarged testicles. A little taken aback I chose to answer him truthfully and tell him that yes, they actually did look rather inflamed. Disgusting, yet somewhat humerus.
I'm going to go enjoy the thunderstorm now.
