On real life:
Almost got flattened by a Fedex truck that tried to move into my lane without signaling or checking his blind spot. Please to be using your turn signals, buddy, thanks.
On fic recs:
Since most of the fics I've recced lately are Arthur/Eames, here's something slightly different.
irishcookie wrote this hilarious (and smoking hot) gem about Arthur listing all the different things he wants to do to Ariadne.
And this fic by semmy deserves some love. Eames likes imagining acting out what he'd like to do to all his coworkers (in bed, of course). Eames' mental voice is hilarious.
On fic:
I was totally blown away by the responses to this thing I posted on the kiss meme; of all the things I'm working on, it's the least complete. >_< Thing is, I write really slowly. I don't know when this actor AU will be done and it's funny but I wrote it after scrapping four pages of what I'd already written (which was not working at all) and people liked it. I am befuddled but super happy and grateful. :D The only thing that's complete is the oral fixation fic which I'm trying to clean up so I can post it tmr. Must...write...faster better...
On Band of Brothers (which I finished yesterday):
-It's really well done. Everything about this production is excellent, the quality of the acting, the sets, the script and dialogue, etc.
-Everyone is in this. I mean, everyone. There are so many amazing actors in this (including THard), I made a game out of seeing how many I could identify without having to look them up.
-Be prepared to have your heart strings tugged. This is a war movie so it's really sad because you know that not everyone is going to make it. But it's still worth watching if only for the perspective it brings to WW II.
-Needed more James McAvoy. No, I am not biased, why do you ask.
-I kid you not, the first time we see Tom Hardy on the screen, he is having enthusiastic sex with a pretty, blonde lady and he is very much in the buff. I started laughing really hard (glad my dad wasn't watching that disc with me because it would've been awkward hard to explain why I was laughing). He's thinner and there were no tattoos (woe), but he is ridiculously attractive and I relished each moment he was on the screen. =)
-So overall, A++. Watch it if you enjoy war movies especially of the WWII variety. It's absolutely one of the best in that genre.
