Poetry: Night-flowers.

(Just pretend that the icon is Wepwawet. :D)

The mountains and valleys
Both know you; the wind
That sweeps over the ground
Calls your name, lingering in memory.

Wreathed in shadow and flanked
By your huge, snarling wolves,
You descend. You are welcome here,
My Lord. I would not turn you away.

Come, feast in these halls.
Let the sweet dusk soothe your skin
And warm you with the night-flowers
That bloom amongst the stars.

The abode of the dead can wait.
Remove your fur and traveller’s cloak.
Become a man for me now, so that we
Can feast together in fragrant silence.
