Stolen from Eric:
This is the problem with LJ: we all think we are so close, and we know nothing about each other. I'm going to rectify it. I want you to ask me something you think you should know about me. Something that should be obvious, but you have no idea about. Then post this in your LJ and find out what people don't know about you.

Ignore the fact that my depression reached a peak while living there.
2. That's a really, really, really, really difficult question to answer. Even if I were to list my favorite piece from each composer, I'd be unable to.
From Bach: Cello Suite No. 1 or any of his fugues.
Beethoven: Fidelio, Symphony No. 7, Waldstein Sonata, Marche Funebre from Symphony No. 3, Piano Concerto No. 3, Triple Concerto
Brahms: Violin Concerto or the Alto Rhapsody
Britten: The Rape of Lucretia
Bartok: Concerto for Orchestra, Concerto for Piano and Orchestra No. 1
Chopin: Nocturne in F minor, Op. 55 No. 2, Prelude in C minor, Polonaise in C minor
Dvorak: Cello Concerto, Symphony No. 1, any of his Piano Trios
Faure: Piano Quartets, Requiem
Grieg: Wedding Day at Troldhaugen, Piano Concerto
Janacek: Jenufa
Liszt: Hungarian Rhapsody No. 5
Mozart: Clarinet Concerto (that says a lot about it, considering how much I dislike the clarinet), Symphony No. 25, Piano Concerto No. 19
Mussorgsky: Pictures at an Exhibition
Puccini: Madama Butterfly
Prokofiev: Sonata No. 3, Op. 32(?), Piano Concerto No. something or another, I forget
Ravel: Just about anything. Pavane pour une Infante Defunte is top on that list.
Rachmaninov: Piano Concerto No. 1
Sibelius: Violin Concerto, Symphony No. 2
Saint-Saens: Anything, really. Piano Concerto No. 2
Tchaikovsky: Piano Concerto No. 1, various small works of his
Verdi: La Traviata, Requiem
Vivaldi: All of his bassoon and oboe pieces.
Wagner: Parsifal
I guess, at the moment, my favorite piece is Wedding Day at Troldhaugen, since I'm learning it.

There are several things on your list I really love. I like a lot of stuff by Prokofiev as I mentioned in an earlier journal entry.
All four Rachmaninov piano concertos are favorites of mine.
