Resolutions are for suckers.

You can call it a New Year's resolution all you want but the majority of people won't follow them. Don't know what it is aside from the need to label changes that need changing in your life so you can make them more tangible. Then lose them under the couch.

Nope, what I've got are New Year's get-off-my-arse goals. Was on my way back to my computer after a less than eventful NY's eve (had offers, but I'd rather just revel in my not-working today) when it occurred to me I hadn't updated my blog-ish page in half a month. Not that I didn't have anything to put in it, I was full of rant-rage in regard to the seething mass that is consumerism, but it's a slight inconveniece to update and post. I subscribed to this sucker over a month ago but never looked at it a second time.

My problem is that I try to jump into projects headfirst before checking the water depth. Nope, goal number one is to make my site 100% functional if not the way I want it. First step was to start using livejournal to make things easier to post random thoughts. If I take the hassel out of it I've got all the fewer excuses.

Huzzah! First post! lololz!
