Not-quite first day not-quite blues ;)
It wasn't technically my first day at New Job, as I was in briefly before half term, and I didn't technically do a full day (yet - I brought some stuff home to read) but today felt like a long day and I am pretty much exhausted...
Everyone was friendly and helpful, and lots of practical stuff got sorted (I now have an IT system login, a staff pass with the traditional ugly photo, a photocopy card, a tray in the staff-room, keys for lockable storage for confidential papers etc, and lots of reading material). However, it's a long, long time since I worked in an office where other people were dealing with other things and there was noise which was not related to the thing upon which I was supposed to be focusing. I'm glad they only want me on-site one day a week and I'm even more glad that I've managed to book a meeting room for my day on-site next week. ;)
