I just found out that the director for my groups theater final project probably can't make it to another meeting. The final is at 8:30 tomorrow morning and we have yet to read through the play once. We were given our groups last Monday and the only homework we had for Wed. was to have finished reading the play and to have chosen one potential scene for the play. On Wed. there is only me and Bill who have came up with scenes and most of the other 3 members of my group hadn't even finished reading the play. This included the director, Chelsey. Other than doing the scene we decided to do other parts of the process to making a complete play. I was assigned to be group leader, play Shelly, and to do the costumes. Bill was assigned to do the floor plan and play Tilden. Dylan was to play Vince and do lights/sound and publicity. Mitch was to do the set mock-up and play dodge. Chelsey as the director was to do the character analysis. Our first meeting was decided by Chelsey to be on Monday of the week of the final from 4:30-5:00. Only me and Bill show up at the right place. Dylan show up at the library, Mitch oversleeps and Chelsey did who knows what she never said. We then have to set up a new meeting which ends up for Wed. at 3:00 (during one of my finals, but I knew about it in advance and talked to the professor so I could be out by 3:00). Bill misses this one because he hadn't checked his email. But after the Monday meeting we tried to get Chelsey to give us the blocking so Mitch and Bill could get started on their parts of the play but she was dodgey and eventually at the Wed. meeting said to use what was written in the book. At the Wed. meeting we couldn't do much other than talk about the costumes (which were already sketched up and just needed example fabric), and the characters back stories. We couldn't talk about the scene and set stuff due to Bill being missing so, we set up another meeting for today at 3:00 and everyone eventually showed up except Chelsey (who later e-mailed me claiming that she showed up and no one was there. We all worked on our stuff and decided to meet again at 8:00 to run through the play for the first time. I sen t an e-mail out to everyone letting the know when and where we were going to meet. I got an e-mail back fro Chelsey saying that she might no make it and to call her. I called her number and got some lady on the phone who said it was a wrong number. So, I e-mail her and let her know that her number doesn't work and that we REALLY need her to be there. Eventually she saw me in the library and says she will be able to make it after all. So, here is hoping because I have been doing most of her job for some time now and I am tired of having to do so. Well I should stop complaining. I am sorry for doing so I just need to get it out there because this final is really stressing me out because of this.
