The last two discussion topics I posted received a good amount of responses and i'm loving what you guys have to say. So this week our topic is five songs that you personally think are underrated not just in terms of how much they are played live, but in terms of the attention that is put on them by fans. I don't know any L'Arc fans in real life so I really enjoy what you guys have to say!
My top five in no particular order are:
1. Sai Ha Nagarareta: My third favorite L'Arc song and often forgotten since it never made a non-compilation album. I think this song represented best what the band was trying to achieve in the True era. A forgotten classic!
2. Existence: Another personal favorite of mine and a song I like to think of as the younger brother of Shinshoku. Its hardly played live and its placing in Awake between My Dear and Jiyuu e no Shotai may have made many fans forget about it. The chorus and harmonies are amazing.
3. Birth!: I don't know why I love this song so much but I do. The chorus is so catchy and and the song overall is good enough for me to listen to it multiple times in one sitting. I think this song is lost in the large number of songs L'Arc released during this period.
4. Time Slip: Such a beautiful song and so unique for some of the instruments used. Again I think this song is lost in an album which produced so many mega hits. This sits at number 5 on my all time favorite list.
5. Nemuri ni Yosete: A song from L'arc's early years which the band seems intent on not touching. The F major seventh in this song always relaxed me as the did the overall use of acoustic guitar tied in with the gentle chord progression. Apart from Blurry Eyes this was the first song I heard on Tierra and it blew me away. I learned on guitar the very next day.
Special Mentions: Blame, Wind of Gold, Bravery, Time Goes On, Secret Signs, Taste of Love, Promised Land, Perfect Blue and Butterfly's Sleep.
Remember this is just my personal opinion and is mixed with songs. which I love regardless of status. Please give my your guy's thoughts as I enjoy the opinions of fellow fans as much as the music we both love.
