On the weekend of 19-20th November the modern Japanese culture festival (JFest) took place in Moscow, Russian Federation. It was a great event for all lovers of modern Japanese culture and art. Cosplay contests, manga lessons, tasting of national Japanese food, lectures, stands with media projects were held beside other interesting activities.
The most important event for the Japanese rock (J-rock) music fans occurred on the second day of the festival. A 30-minute extract of L’Arc-en-Ciel’s 20th Anniversary concert was еransmitted. The hall of Centralnyi Dom Hudozhnika, where the show took place, was full of Laruku’s fans and other lovers of brilliant Japanese rock music.
The audience rose their hands up in the air from the very first seconds of the live. On the second song the most active visitors left their sits and began to dance, jumping and singing their favorite songs together with the artists.
Oishi Masahiro, the head of Maverick DC Group, also presented on the venue. He was surprised and glad to see how Russian public greeted Japanese artists.
At the end of the show voting flyers for L’arc-en-Ciel’s live show in Moscow were distributed. One of these flyers was given to Oishi-san himself. He took a
picture of itand posted in his Twitter which made Russian fans so much happy.
All the visitors of JFest were pleased and satisfied with the opportunity to get deeper into modern Japanese culture and art which is loved and respected in Russia.
