VAMPS live in Santiago! My experiences

Dec 27, 2010 11:28

This text (and pictures) is about my personal experiences in Chile, mainly in what refers to the VAMPS live there, being them from before or after the concert. It's full of emotions and impartiality, as it's a dream becoming true for me and therefore I don't see the point in save myself in this sense. It is full of details of many days (and all include VAMPS somehow), so those who just want to read about the live can jump for 'November 06th'. Oh,and I tend to cite people here as they were familiar to everybody. Good reading, and thanks if you read ^_^. By the way, I'm from Brazil :)(If you click at the pictures it's possible to see them larger)

November 3rd, 2010
A day before the trip. My flight from Curitiba (my hometown) would be at 6:10 AM of the next morning, which meant I wouldn't have much time to sleep on that night. I spent the day studying for a test I'd have and at the same time I'd pick and put some things in my luggage and my  bag, since I didn't want to leave this part for the last hour. I don't even need to say that I couldn't concentrate on the test because all I could feel was anxiety. Yet on that night I was arranging the rest of my luggage and printing my virtual ticket while chatting with the rest of the Brazilian people who'd also go to the concert. Before closing my bags, checking if I had my Chilean pesos and dollars I took the opportunity to take the picture below and around 1:00 AM in the morning, already the November 4th I went to sleep, or tried to.

November 04th, 2010
It was 2:50 AM when Bruno from Rio de Janeiro called me to see if I was already awake and to tell me that he was heading for the airport with the other girls. I got of my bed in the same instant, feeling anxious, but at the same time very happy, for the time had finally come (I started a counter more than 180 days before). I quickly changed my clothes, wore my AWAKE T-shirt and at 3:15 AM I was already ready to leave home. The only problem is that my mother insisted to take me to the airport, so I had to wait for her to wake up and then we left the house at 3:40 AM. Arriving at the airport at 4:00 AM all I found were people sleeping and some janitors cleaning the floor. Apparently the check-in begins only at 4:40 AM and because of that I had to wait, so I took the opportunity to take some pictures and walk there a little. Bruno from Rio de Janeiro, whom I already told about, called me sometimes, also putting the girls on the line to talk with me to pass the time. Then, in the airplane I exchanged my last messages with him before being obligated to turn the cellphone off. A little more than one hour from there I'd meet the people I've started to talk because of this trip personally, and some of them, like Rina, are my internet friends since I've become a L'Arc~en~Ciel fan. When I arrived in São Paulo I was impressed with the size of the airport and was totally lost, so I sent a message to Rina who replied saying that I had to meet with them near the McDonald's. After finding them the first of many of my achievements was accomplished, it was the first time I had met someone I only knew through the internet. I waited for the group to eat something and then we proceeded to the boarding to Santiago, which was already about time. At first we missed which was the boarding gate and we walked for a long time to the wrong side until we found ourselves and went to the right place. After entering the plane I was impressed again, as I had never been in a plane so big before. A little ahead I met Bruno, Iara and Natália, whom were also going to the live. A also met Andrey there, although I didn't recognize him immediately, and his friend, Salgado. From that moment on soon a second achievement would be accomplished, my first international trip. As soon as the plane took off, I talked a little with Felipe sitting behind and Andrey and Salgado in front of me. After it I decided to watch a movie, it would be 3 hours and a half until Santiago after all, 3 hours and a half to be really close to VAMPS, specially HYDE. I chose Toy Story 3, which I had already watched in cinemax. I chose a movie I had already watched because I couldn't really pay attention on it, although I admit I cried at the and, exactly like at the movie theater. Sometimes some of the people of our group would stand up from their positions and we talked a little, but I was sitting on the window and thus it was difficult for me to even move. After 2 hours and a half had passed the part I was most expecting came, the gorgeous Andes, the world's longest continental mountain range. And here my third achievement, I saw snow for the first time. It's from the plane, its true, I didn't touch it, its true, but I was moved. And the mountains were so beautiful, even the German lady sitting next to me who didn't open her mouth the whole trip exclaimed "nice", to which I promptly replied "very nice ^_^". After admiring the Andes a little a strong turbulence shook the whole plane and led me to think "I can't believe I'll die here without seeing HYDE", but at the end we landed safe and sound in Santiago. See some pics below:

Pic 1:Me(front) and Felipe(behind) /Pic 2:Map in the screen showing the position of the plane/Pic 3:The Andes/Pic 4: The moment the plane landed in Santiago

The feeling of when the plane landed in Santiago is impossible to describe, not only because we had arrived, but because I knew HYDE was there somewhere in a range of about 30km (19miles) as VAMPS disembarked on that morning. Inside the airport we had to pass through the customs and there on the queue we met some very nice Argentinean girls who were also there because of the concert. They recognized us firstly because I was with the AWAKE T-shirt and Bruno was with the wonderful VAMPS Brazilian Street Team T-shirt we had made specially for the concert. I noticed they were pointing toward my T-shirt until Bruno spoke with them, since he was the only one who knew how to speak Spanish in our group. After we were given permission to enter Chile we looked out for the vans service from the airport, but not before passing through a lot of people with signs saying "taxi" trying to convince us, something we had never seen in Brazil. The impact of seeing everything written in Spanish and the people around us only speaking in this language was very strong, it was the click that I really crossed the continent and was there. Two vans were necessary to take us and during the course to the city (the airport is not quite in the city) we went chatting with the driver, the first of many nice Chileans we met there. He asked the reason of our visit, we talked about VAMPS and at the same time I observed for the first time how was Santiago. It was on that time that I actually thought I was on a earthquake area, and therefore, this was my fourth achievement, even though this one is not that interesting. After we got to the hotel I saw which would be the room I'd be staying at, a quadruple room for me, Bruno, Niki and Rafa (who would arrive at night). Then, all together, we looked for a place to eat, but not before going to a exchange bureau to get some Chilean pesos. It was near 4:00 PM when we decided to eat in the first place we found, since we were starving. In the restaurant we discovered that the soda in Chile is much cheaper than in Brazil, and there I also accomplished my fifth achievement, try to communicate myself with someone from a different country even without knowing their language and even if it was on a timid way in the beginning. After we finished our lunch we walked in downtown a little to get to know the city better and to decide what would we do in the afternoon. While walking in the central market, which had a horrible smell of fish I had another big impact. While the group was there talking and all that, a Chilean approaches me and Felipe, who was already wearing the T-shirt with "Brazilian Street Team" written and the VAMPS logo adapted to the Brazilian style. After the Chilean said a lot of things and we did not understand a word of it he pointed to Felipe's T-shirt and said "skateboard?". We obviously answered him saying that it wasn't and that was when we had a shock after he said something we didn't grasp but from which we could distinguish the words "music, Japanese band, Teatro Caupolican". We were perplexed as we didn't know how he knew who VAMPS were, but then we noticed a Brazilian that worked there and that said that VAMPS were there some hours ago to buy some things!! I think that was the moment when I had a real click that HYDE was there, we were there! I don't even need to say that we took pictures at the place and then started to imagine the next landmarks VAMPS would go to. We decided to go to a hill where there was a overlook with a great view of the city from the top. We even talked about L'Arc and VAMPS there, something I had never done face to face with someone before, only through the internet, so I consider this my sixth achievement. More pictures below:

Being everybody very tired we decided to eat at the hotel and so I, Bruno, Salgado and Sara went to a supermarket to buy some food supplies. Back to the hotel we waited for the rest of the group and went to a big room at the last floor where we could talk and eat at ease. During this time Rafa and Koi arrived at the hotel and so we could finally meet them, and we also heard from Koi that she was less than a meter of distance from HYDE in the airport, since she arrived some days before us! We also got to know that a sound check would probably be carried out the next day on Teatro Caupolican, the place of the live, and that decided for us definitely what we would do on November 05th, we would go to Caupolican to try to see VAMPS at least enter the venue.

November 05th, 2010
Around 9:00 AM, as soon as we had breakfast we headed for Teatro Caupolican by foot. It was about 2km from the hotel and so it took a little more than half an hour to reach there. The region around the venue was a area full of commerce and thus it was very busy. When we got there we discovered that there were already fans in the queue for days, they were sleeping there. We took the opportunity to meet some of them, and we stayed together with a group of very nice Chileans who also knew a lot of Brazilian songs. Most of the songs were crap like carioca funk or Ilariê from Xuxa (which is aimed at kids), but they even knew better bands like Paralamas do sucesso and others. After some time we were told to get at the end of the line because Noix (the company responsible for the coming of VAMPS) would give a bracelet for the 400th first people and those would be able to enter at the venue before the others. So we chose to wait for the bracelets as well as to wait for VAMPS to come. Sometime still in the morning, me and some people, tired of staying at the same place, went to the front of Caupolicon only to take a look. While we were there just observing suddenly a white van appears and stops exactly in front of us. I can say that my heart skipped a beat, because for a brief moment I believed that HYDE would get out of the vehicle! But at the end it was J, who got out quickly followed by two girls holding some flower bouquets. Some Japanese staff also got out while unloading some equipment and Gonzalo, Noix owner, was also there. After the shock we got back to our positions and the sun started to burn hot, we were almost literally frying. When the lunch time came we found a Pizza Hut nearby and ordered four pizzas for our group, they were mainly peperoni pizzas, but one among them was a horrible peperoni with pineapples (I don't know if it's common in other countries, but it is very different for us). After we ate Koi came to us with the information that KAZ was already inside Caupolican somehow, which left us curious about the way he entered there, as we didn't noticed any other way of entering besides the front opening after all. There was, however, a gate for cars at the other side of the square, one we didn't realize existed and that indicated he entered through there. With this we ended losing our hopes of seeing HYDE enter through there, as it was getting late. Near 6:00 PM a long queue was finally organized for the distribution of those bracelets and at the same time that the staff gave them to us, Gonzalo also gave us each a bottle of soda water (by the way, soda water is more common than normal water in Chile, I don't know why). Happy to at least getting these bracelets, mine being number 166, we went back to the hotel to change clothes, take a shower and all that to go to a Japanese restaurant later. At the restaurant we ordered our food and for our surprise the two waiters that served us knew how to speak Portuguese, and very well. I didn't get it, but it seemed they lived in Brazil (somebody also told they were actually Brazilian, I don't even know anymore). The thoughts that came to my mind at this point was "less than 24 hours for the concert" and the like. Back to the hotel we took the opportunity to separate and take the Chilean version of BEAST that some people bought for us that morning for all the group. After this I went to bed and set my alarm clock to wake me at 6:30 AM. Pics from that day:

November 06th, 2010
And the day has come! The day I had most expected the whole year. Or better, a day I had been expecting for years! I woke up about 6:30 AM as planned, took a shower, wore the VAMPS Brazilian Street Team T-shirt and went to the room of one of the girls where we would have breakfast. From there I took a taxi along with Felipe, Jéssica and Márcia who were also ready and set the course to Teatro Caupolican! Before getting there I bet with them "I think the queue will be turning the corner of the street when we get there". I won, of course, the queue was already really long and was turning the corner despite the square being really big. But since we had the bracelet we didn't have to wait at the and, so we reunited at the front of Caupolican. Soon Ana, who didn't have a bracelet, arrived and spent some time with us. Equipped with a Brazilian flag, my Street Team T-shirt, my virtual ticked and some cookies I bought from a old lady that passed selling, all I could do now was wait. As time passed, more and more people were agglomerating and the street was getting more and more crowded. Sometime in the morning some staffs from Noix got out from the sacred sanctuary of Caupolican and fixed on the walls a list of the official products they would sell, besides offering apples and cookies to the fans waiting. The official products were T-shirts, posters, handbags, omamoris (a Japanese lucky amulet), fans and wristbands. Then, a little before 12:00 PM a queue of international fans was formed so that we could exchange our virtual tickets for the physical tickets. However, as soon as this line was formed a lot of shouting and excitement was heard and seen, and simply everybody ran to see what was it about, thinking it was the band arriving or something. Actually it was a camera man recording the people for the DVD documentary, so everybody showed the max of their excitement, calling for VAMPS, for the members, shouting the names of the countries and all that. There was even a time when everybody shouted "Brazil,Brazil,Brazil", even the Chileans, and in contribution we also shouted "Chile, Chile, Chile". After all this excitement faded we went back to the queue and finished the signing of the banner we would offer as a gift for VAMPS. Then Koi appeared and offered to buy the official products for us, since it would be a mess if all of us went, and we couldn't leave the line. I decided to get everything except for the fan because it was way too expensive and I thought I wouldn't have enough money. I also only got one poster, even though there were 4 kinds available, and I kind of regret that now. Anyway, the time to exchange the tickets had come. Basically we walked through the main gate of the venue, gave the virtual ticket and in exchange they gave us the virtual ticket, which was a kind of beautiful necklace with the classic picture of that woman licking HYDE and the profile of KAZ. Although it didn't took a long time to do this, since I advanced a little into Caupolican I realized the sound checking was happening inside there. I clearly heard the beginning of IT'S SAD, and other people said they heard TROUBLE and ANGEL'S TRIP. After this one of the Chileans we met there, Carla, came to have lunch with us and helped us to order pizzas at Pizza Hut again. While we were eating we talked about the differences between Portuguese and Spanish, and she taught us some insulting words in Spanish while the people around us were laughing with what she said. After lunch we quickly got back to the queue of the people with bracelets and so we had to say good bye to Carla as she had a much earlier number than us. We fried on the sun for a long time and after some time Koi suddenly appeared with a cake to Iara, since it was her birthday (what a honor for her!). What to say, it was a beautiful moment. We sang happy birthday to her, people were looking at us, but many also congratulated her too. We shared soda and cake with everybody too, and offered the leftovers to the Noix staffs who thanked us. I can also say we draw many attention on Chile, in many moments people would come to take pictures with us and all that. Even on the queue we showed a lot of excitement, and we also counted on the fact that apparently the Chileans naturally likes Brazilians. At the afternoon the moment to organize the queue came and on that moment we noticed there were a lot of policemen on the street, there was even a water tank to leave us the message that if we started some kind of uproar they would drench us, although I bet many people would like that in a so hot day. We saw ambulances coming to assist people that had fainted due to the heat in the middle of the crowd, and we were still outside the venue. Only to make sure, I put a sachet of salt in my pocket, in case my blood pressure would go down (and I also put a little of the salt under the tongue in the moments of intense heat just in case). And finally, about 6:00 PM we started to enter Caupolican. Now just some more pics and then the live report!!:

THE LIVE
As soon as we entered some guards searched and asked us if we had any of the prohibited items, such as cameras, and after I was given permission to go into Caupolican I saw Sara saying "run run" so we all ran to get the most close to the stage as possible. And it was as I entered that I really began to think "wow, I'm on a VAMPS concert", after observing the beautiful drum with the BEAST logo, besides the giant mouth of VAMPS on the back. But maybe what really showed me, the really click that I'd really see HYDE in two hours was the pedestal for the mic on the center of the stage. Imagine my astonishment, and my laughing after I saw the height of it. "Woah, HYDE must be really short, it's not a lie!", I thought. We were quite on the front, but them more and more people were accumulating there, and still a lot of time before the live. Then chaos came, I couldn't move and was pushed to all sides. People were been carried from side to side, and even saying "stop" didn't have effect. I felt I could endure it, as I was not feeling bad or anything, but after I stopped to think for a moment I realized I wouldn't have as much fun as I wanted after all, as I couldn't even move well. So I decided to go back, where it wouldn't be so messy. Some of our group, like Andrey and Niki had given up as well, so I met with them. It didn't take long and soon Ana gave up too. We saw a woman selling Pepsi so we ran to buy some. That was like the best drink I've ever had as I was dying with the heat from the situation some minutes before. Then it was time for Iara to give up, and she got out of the mess nearly fainting, but she also recovered after drinking Pepsi (I took the opportunity to buy me another one as well, but it was expensive!). Then suddenly a voice on a mic came, it was Gonzalo from Noix apparently, warning the people to not push, that there was some time before the beginning, and something like that, my Spanish didn't really permit me to distinguish much of what was said. There was also the word that they'd record a DVD there, so everybody went nuts (as if we weren't already). A little more calm back there, but yet with a great view of the stage, we noticed when some staff went to the stage, which was a magical experience by itself, as many of them had appeared in L'Arc or HYDE's DVDs, and were also a kind of a click that all that was real. Some random music was playing on the background and I was already moving along with them, in a kind of a dance, getting on the atmosphere of the live about to begin. It didn't take long and Gonzalo's voice echoed again, telling us there was more FIVE minutes of waiting! The audience went to the max of the possible excitement and after those minutes light went off. I don't even need to tell about the shouting that broke out on that moment reaching every corner of Caupolican, and then it started! :

- PLUG IN: While PLUG IN was playing the members started to come to the stage one by one, starting with Jin, Arimatsu and Ju-ken. I didn't really pay attention to them because what I wanted the most was my first vision of HYDE, whom I knew was the last one to come. Then KAZ came, and behind him, HE came, HYDE came walking normally and then raised his arm showing the characteristic "V" from VAMPS with his fingers. He was wearing a hood in his head and was bare chested, although using a jacket (I guess it's called a jacket). He came from the right side of the stage (the left from the audience's view), from right where I was, so I could see him really well. I admit I lost control at that moment, together with Ana by my side. I was shouting "IT'S HYDE IT'S HYDE", and she was like "HE'S THERE, HYDE'S IS RIGHT IN FRONT OF US". It's a view I'll never forget, the moment I saw my idol with my own eyes for the first time, only some meters from me. This was another of my achievements, and the most anticipated one.The members fixes themselves in their positions, and after PLUG IN ended a small pause, and the show begins!

01. DEVIL SIDE
The intro already left a big impact. The instruments along with the audience combined formed one of the most loudest sounds I've ever heard in all my life. All, absolutely everybody inside there started to sing with HYDE the initials "uh uh uuuh", me included of course. And when the song began you could clearly hear everybody singing "SHAKE SHAKE SHAKE ON THE FLOOR" and thoughts like "it's the best day of my life" already came to mind. At the end of the chorus, at the "CALLING FOR YOUR" HYDE would come over the boxes at the front of the mic and shout "CHILE", while we completed with the "DEVIL SIDE" of the song. As soon as it was finished came:

02. SWEET VANILLA
Goosebumps was what I had when the song began. HYDE was above the boxes at the front of the mic while playing the incredible intro of the song, a little longer than the album version. I felt incredibly privileged at this moment. Not only this is one of my favorite songs, but also a song they did not perform in any other concert of the international tour, and if I remember right, they had played it only once at the Japanese tour this year. After the quick and beautiful bass solo followed by the intro again, Bruno lifted me up, and I was taller than everybody on the arena! By moving my Brazilian flag I tried to draw HYDE's attention. I don't know if he saw me at this moment (well, he probably noticed, he's not blind), but at least Ju-ken, who was right in front of me, must have seen.

03. IT'S SAD

The classic intro of this song live began, and while it was playing HYDE was making sexy faces and mouths, finishing by going over the boxes again and playing the first notes with a serious expression. One of my favorites songs live, it was on this one I got really close to HYDE for the first time, since he had the middle mic, Ju-ken's mic and KAZ's mic to sing, so he could go from one side to another. When he went to the side I was people were simply jumping to try to reach him, including me. I don't know if it was at this part already, that people were trowing things at the stage and a towel hit HYDE's on his face, while he was right in front of me, but he didn't seemed stunned by it and kept his shining smile, only shaking his head a little. Here Bruno lifted me up again, and again I was probably seen by HYDE, who was at the middle of the stage (and again I know Ju-ken saw me, as he was always by the side I was). I was singing with all I could, and I really hope to appear in the DVD singing this song, who knows. Besides that, at the end of this song I was already feeling exhausted. I was extremely tired from all the jumping and singing, so I really thought a slow song would be good now, although I knew it was time for a MC.

-HYDE MC-
Before the MC people were shouting "mijito rico lalalalala", but I had no idea what this meant, and I guess the band didn't know either. HYDE was all the time with a shy smile and a face of "what is happening?", but when he spoke on the mic all the singing "mijito rico" turned into hysterical screaming. After searching a little later I discovered this was a Chilean expression used for beautiful/handsome people, and well, HYDE is really handsome, specially after you see him with your own eyes, so the expression was very appropriated. I don't remember exactly what he said and what happened, which is kinda normal since I couldn't understand nothing of what he was saying in the mic. But this wasn't the characteristic MC of the world tour yet, that was later (if you don't know what I'm talking about, you will). All I remember is that I was shouting with all I could and my eyes were always on HYDE. After the MC came:

04. THE PAST
Before HYDE stopped talking the intro for THE PAST began. This is one of the most interesting songs to see live, as it's great to admire HYDE's voice, beautiful as always. It's also a song you're not jumping all the time, so I kind of sang and danced in a crazy way, like in a trance with my arms raised. It was very tiring the same way because at the chorus I still jumped, while singing screaming. I also took the opportunity to admire HYDE as a whole, for it would be only two precious hours to see him right in front of me.

05. SECRET IN MY HEART

THE PAST wasn't totally finished yet when the intro from SECRET IN MY HEART started. Remembering the performances of this song live I ended up moving the same way HYDE does, making a kind of circle with the arms during the chorus (like this: http://youtu.be/c8zwtmj5Lh0 ). Another song I was not expecting to hear live, because even though they've played it in other concerts of the world tour, I thought EUPHORIA would come as the next song. Again I sang and moved and danced, despite being exhausted. At the end of SECRET IN MY HEART lights went off and a slow melody began to play. I remembered that both EVANESCENT and SWEET DREAMS had live intros like this, so we were asking ourselves which song would come now. Whatever would come, it was one we were longing for. But after Arimatsu started a subtle drumming line it became clear that the next song would be:

06. SWEET DREAMS
No matter where I looked I found someone crying, including people from our group. I just raised my hands holding the sparkling sticks we brought while waving my arms responding to the melody and sang. Noticing everyone behind me very emotional, I decided to put my arms around them, uniting ourselves, and said to everybody from the group to do the same, so we were all hugging together while being involved by the beautiful melody being performed, it was really special, maybe the most special moment of all.

07. GET UP
But now it was time to get excited again, because without pause the live went straight to GET UP. Forgetting entirely about how tired I was I sang, jumped and almost cried too. This is my favorite BEAST song so when it began I was really happy, if it's possible to surpass the level of happiness I was at. Another song to admire HYDE's amazing vocals, while singing with him lines like "AH THE SEASONS NEVER LAST". HYDE was all the time in the middle mic and sang incredibly well, it was another moment that I thought "this show is perfect!". Besides all this, of course, it was really cool to hear all the audience singing the song together, specially in parts like "HELLO HELLO I CRY FOR YOU GET UP GET UP GET UP".

08. VAMP ADDICTION

Following GET UP came the fast VAMPS ADDICTION. The song has a very remarkable chorus, making this a very interesting song live. I sang the verses waiting for the chorus, when the moment to go crazy would came. This was the only song for which I didn't know the lyrics very well, and thus I had to improvise a little, so I also saved my throat here too. I remember that somehow I was almost at the middle of the arena, aligned with HYDE's mic, and so I had an awesome view. Indeed, from the position I was I was free to go and come, and dance, which was great.

09. DOLLY

The characteristic beginning of DOLLY started to play and HYDE, like in all live performances, went over the boxes at the front and jumped back to the stage during the intro. At the beginning HYDE was at the left side of the stage, so he wasn't so close. In the first part until the chorus he was always there. But after it he remained at the middle and my side, and because of that one of the most memorable moments of the live for me happened. Bruno lifted me once more, but this time with HYDE right in front of us! I was singing DOLLY with my idol about 2 meters from me, and all this time he was looking straight, which means, what he had right in front of him was exactly, ME!. This instant just comes to my mind all the time, I was singing "BUILD A TOWER TALL AND STRONG, IT WILL BE BEAUTIFUL. USING OUR TECHNOLOGY BABEL WILL STAND ANEW" and HYDE looking straight with a serious expression. I REALLY hope they show this in the DVD somehow, if I were to choose a single moment for me to appear at the DVD, it would be here, this song, this seconds.

10. SAMSARA
Light went off again and even though the audience continued to scream without stop the atmosphere got calmer. SAMSARA began surrounding us in a relaxing moment and also preparing us for the song to follow. I took the opportunity to only dance, swaying according to the melody that extended for 4 minutes instead of the quick 2 minutes of the album. At the end everybody knew what would come:

11. MY FIRST LAST
Different from the album, in which SAMSARA ends and then MY FIRST LAST begins, at the live the two songs were integrated in a spectacular way. After I let an "WOW" when the two songs became one, I focused in swaying my arms holding the sparkling sticks again, while being taken by the beautiful melody. HYDE's wondeful voice was the guiding element in this five and memorable minutes.

-HYDE MC-

After some time the lights went on again and HYDE spoke. Now it was the moment for the classic MC, the one HYDE says "tengo hambre" (I'm hungry) and "quiero comer Chilenas" (I want to eat Chileans). HYDE also repeated things like "puta madre", which made us laugh a lot. It was also at this part that he realized there was a red bra on the stage. HYDE took the bra, smelled it and then put it on his head, I don't even need to say about the hysterical screaming and laughing that came with this. After it he started to yell "WHERE IS MY LAMB?", making clear which song was next, repeating this a lot of times as if announcing:

12. HUNTING
HUNTING may not be that interesting to listen to in the album, but it's totally insane live. HYDE was running from side to side, shaking his hips, while the audience was singing "HI HO LET'S HUNT". In this moment I committed a small heresy, which was going to a Pepsi seller I found, and thus taking my eyes off of HYDE for a instant, besides stopping the jumping. But after I bought it I started to jump again with the Pepsi in my hand. I do not regret this after all, as it gave me the energy for the songs to come.

13. ANGEL TRIP

The super lively ANGEL TRIP started and I got my flag ready. This song really has the power to make people light and happy, and that was what happened. With the Pepsi plus the atmosphere I was energized to jump and spin my Brazilian flag to throw it up at the "ALRIGHT!" part on the chorus. I also noticed some other people doing the same, just as decided at the international forum. At the middle of the song, when it got to the part that says "let's sneak away from the party, just us two" the song stopped, he went to the middle of the stage and then took a breath before singing. I've read somewhere he said these lines in Spanish, but now I'm not really sure.

14. TROUBLE
At the end of ANGEL TRIP the lights started to blink in a lot of different colors and Ju-ken started to clap his hands in the air, announcing TROUBLE was about to begin. HYDE was asking us something like "lo pasan bien?" (are you ok?), and then completing with "no escucho" (I don't hear). We were also stimulated to groan and scream with him. First he moaned a little, and then we should do the same, he continued shouting louder and louder, and longer. It was basically from "aaah" to "AAH AAH" and then "EEEEEEH EEEEEEEEII" and so on. Whoever saw a performance of TROUBLE live know it's maybe the most fun of all the live. All the audience was singing the hilarious lyrics of the song and jumping while Ju-Ken was spinning and spinning, purple and orange lights were illuminating the stage and HYDE was shaking his body and singing at the same time.

15. LIVE WIRE
A cover follower by another cover. LIVE WIRE is a song with lots of interaction with the audience, so to speak, since we were in charge of singing the "'CAUSE I'M ALIVE" part on the chorus. I actually winded up singing everything, while paying attention on HYDE's voice, which is impressive in this song. Interesting that when the song ended the band stopped a little, waited a little and then finished it completely with a different ending.

16. SEX BLOOD ROCK N' ROLL
The initial beats played by Jin let to a immediate recognition that one of the most lively songs of the show was starting. It was really beautiful to see everybody singing along with HYDE "WE'RE JUST KIDS COMING HERE TO PLAY...", and at the second time of this line the audience sang alone and then HYDE sang again. "SEX BLOOD ROCK N' ROLL", VAMPS's motto, so to speak, surrounded all the place while KAZ was rotating his guitar through his body a lot of times and HYDE was going from side to side. At the end of this song the band left the stage, but we were going to call them back, of course.

-ENCORE-
As decided at the international forum, we called the band back to the stage yelling the line "BANG ON STOMP EVERYBODY". With excellent synchronization everybody was clapping and stomping, even making the floor shake. I was already with my throat hurting at this time, but I didn't stop shouting for a single moment. It didn't take long before VAMPS entered the stage again.

-KAZ e HYDE MC-
KAZ came to the mic first and bashfully said some things and then "Chi Chi Chi" to which the audience promptly continued "Le Le Le VIVA CHILE" (if you've seen the rescue of the Chilean miners then without doubt you've heard a lot of this as well). He finished saying some more things that I have absolutely no idea what it was about, but anyway, as long as we replied showing we were excited everything was ok. Then HYDE came to the mic, and I didn't understand him either. He also made the "Chi Chi Chi Le Le Le" thing. After it he got a bonnet that someone threw at the stage and put on his head while showing a shy smile and a face of "adopt me please". During this time the Chilean audience yelled a lot things like "OLE OLE OLE OLE CHILE CHILE CHILE". When he spoke again, he announced "next song, MEMORIES".

17. MEMORIES
I admit this wasn't among my favorites of BEAST. Yes, I liked it, but I wouldn't mind if they didn't played it (but then again, I wouldn't complain about anything in these circumstances). However, I was impressed with the live performance. I was almost crying all the time and was really moved by the song. Again all I could do was raise my arms and sing with HYDE and with what was left of my throat. After the concert I can confidently say it's now one of my favorites!

18. LOVE ADDICT

As soon as KAZ started to play with the initial notes of LOVE ADDICT, HYDE ran to the right (my side) to shake hips a little. Somehow I lost the moment when HYDE dislocated himself to there, but when I saw him I tried to reach as close as possible, and I was also infatuated while he was dancing in front of us. After this game LOVE ADDICT finally began and HYDE slowly went to the center of the stage and I accompanied him. I don't know what went into my mind at the time. but I started to play an imaginary guitar of the intro of the song(I don't even know how to hold a guitar properly). I swear that this time I had the impression that HYDE saw me and even smiled when he saw me do that, and even if it's thought "it's obvious that everybody thinks they've been seen by him" I prefer to remain with the illusion that he really was. Maybe the song the audience knew the lyrics best and the change from the chorus to "RIDE ON TIME, LET GO, RIDE ON TIME, LET GO" created a kind of very fun choreography. LOVE ADDICT, the first song of VAMPS, is a perfect epitome that this is a band to see live.

19. REVOLUTION

"BANG ON STOMP EVERYBODY", that was how HYDE started to call the audience to shout with him, and it was like this for some time, while he was going here and there dancing and shaking his body as usual. There was a time when he got a flag with messages for VAMPS and walked with it through the stage a little, and we still "BANG ON STOMP EVERYBODY". Maybe the song that got the audience to the max of excitement, although I honestly think all songs were the top. I noticed many people besides me singing "LET'S BREAK AWAY CHAINS ARE UNLOCKING YOU HAVE SO MANY WAYS. HEY DON'T WORRY CHASING YOUR CALLING YOU CAN GO ANYWHERE". Again the song paused so we could shout "BANG ON..." and at this moment I asked Bruno to lift me again. From the high and with my Brazilian flag I tried to draw HYDE's attention. At the end of REVOLUTION at the same time that a feeling of sadness came because I knew it was almost over, I still had the emotion of the moment because the next would be the last:

20. MIDNIGHT CELEBRATION

The final mark of the majority of VAMPS's concerts, during the intro HYDE was shouting "Chile" and was even saying "adios" (good bye) along with some other undecipherable words. KAZ rotated his guitar and then "I KNOW WHAT I'VE SEEN, MIDNIGHT CELEBRATION...". Before the first chorus in "I PLAY YOU OBEY" HYDE slipped his jacket out of his shoulders, and then we could see his thorns tattoo for the first time. Despite the tiredness and the destroyed throat I decided to give all I had knowing it was the last song, seeing the great image of HYDE singing without his guitar and over the boxes. When the song finished they thanked us and KAZ went to our side to throw water, Ju-ken was throwing some unidentified souvenir and showing a Chilean flag someone threw at the stage and HYDE was distributing kisses. The last view I had of HYDE were his stunning wing tattoos while he was leaving the stage. Even though I've seen a lot of imitations of it in Chile, a lot of them very well made, here was the original, the last image of my idol in front of me.

-Also happened:Concerning the facts I know did happen, but I can't remember the exact moment:
- HYDE threw water in the audience a lot of times, throwing the bottle after it. In one of these times the bottle touched my hand, but I couldn't grasp it. (Sometimes I imagine if I did, I, worshiping a water bottle and everybody thinking I'm crazy). In another moment when he threw water a lot of it hit my face, which was great.
- The same for KAZ and Ju-ken, who also threw water, which also hit me.
- Ju-ken seemed to notice when I was shaking the Brazilian flag (I'm really tall, I promise).
- Ju-ken lowered to the audience to touch peoples hands some times, but I couldn't reach him.
- If I couldn't reach when Ju-ken did that, much less when HYDE did. I tried to reach my hands, but it was still too far.

Later on, after the live people started to leave the venue and we were still there for some time. We've been photographed by some Chileans and by the staff, as well as filmed. We even lied on the floor and hugged each other because of that wonderful moment we had just lived. A lot of us were crying and smiling and the feeling left was that even though we were exhausted, if VAMPS would come back for another 20 songs we would hold on, we would sing, jump. Soon we had to leave Caupolican because of pressure from the staff, and as we were exiting I hurt myself with the broken antenna of a car at the front. I had to use my flag to roll up it over the wound that was bleeding a little. I kind of hope it will turn into a permanent scar, so that I will be marked by that wound that I suffered the moment I got out from a VAMPS concert. Well, after almost 2 months after the concert, I still have the scar, yey, I guess it'll stick after all! After we left we went straight to the vehicles exit of Caupolican to wait for the band to leave, but the staffs there insisted they had already left. I didn't know if it was true or not, but we chose to not wait as they had put a big truck there and it would take ages to load, so any other vehicle wouldn't be able to leave in that period, besides, I was so, but so thirsty, I think I've never been so much like that in all my life, I swear I could drink a gallon of water. We then found a group of Chileans who also went to the live and they invited us to go to a bar or something with them to drink, eat, etc, so we quickly went to the hotel and them took a taxi to where they indicated. I was truly awful, my voice was completely hoarse (actually I had no voice at all), my throat was hurting and my ears were closed and with a indefinite burr. Because of that I didn't stay there for long, just ate and drank something and returned to the hotel, chatted with the people there about the concert and then went to sleep with a mix of happiness and sadness.

November 07th, 2010
There's not much to say. I woke up early and took a van to the airport with part of the group. Unfortunately we wouldn't have time to see VAMPS departing to Japan as our flight was at 1:30 PM and theirs was at 8:00 PM. After we were back to Brazil, in São Paulo I had to run to take my flight headed for Curitiba inside that giant airport. During the trip from Curitiba to São Paulo I think I had my final click that everything happened and it was wonderful, but it was over, so I cried a little. I tried to not show, of course, but I think the guy by my side noticed it. After I arrived I telephoned my father to get me and cried a lot listening to SWEET DREAMS. It was the end of this trip that I'll carry on my memories forever. For the wonderful people I met there, for the opportunity of seeing one of my idols with my own eyes, for the incredible live. It's difficult to return to real life after this experience, even after 2 months I'm not totally back again, part of me is still in Chile, at Caupolican. Being able to see HYDE again, in VAMPS, or L'Arc, it's something I want to be able to as soon as possible. Thanks VAMPS for making this dream true. Thanks for the people who shared this moment with me! This trip was indeed the most happy time I've ever spent in my life.
More pics:

Pic 1: About 5 minutes after the concert finished, a picture taken by a Chilean who offered to do so, as none of us had cameras at the venue since it was prohibited/ Pic 2: The day we were going back to Brazil, at the reception of the hotel, you can notice how awful I was hahaha / Pic 3: At home already, a picture of the products I bought there, including the Chilean version of BEAST, and non official products being sold at the end of the front of the venue. And the T-shirts of the Brazilian Street Team, of course. / Pic 4: The hotel room where me, Bruno, Niki and Rafa stayed.
Extra pic, from the cut I suffered as I was leaving Caupolican, I put it as a link as I know there are people who do not like to see this kind of thing (but it's nothing impressive or disgusting, really...): http://bit.ly/9Qsyb7

And to finish, print screens from forbidden recordings I found at YouTube, I marked myself with red in them:

And also myself in a magazine scan :D. I marked myself with a blue circle:

That's it, thanks for reading. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed writing it :)
And sorry for any mistakes it might have ^_^
