Getting 10 years for downloading one song is being just a tiny bit too harsh. WTF, SOCA or whoever, has taken this a little bit too far. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MoLGQYCk3xg for all who don't know what I am talking about.
I've never believed in any conspiracy theories, I never believed that goverments would do anything agains their own citizens, but now I am not so sure anymore.
A person who downloads one fucken song worth probably 0.99€ or 0.79€ will get 10 years. And a killer in Europe usually gets 3 years if the poor bastard has such a lousy lawyer that he cannot prove he was insane at the moment when he commited the crime. If he can prove he was insane he gets 1 year of metal institution and then he can walk free because his behaviour was perfect.
I need to say that all this INJUSTICE makes me feel sick. I feel disgusted when I see that. Daily we can see huge corporational criminals who stole millions of euros, and caused misery of many people because they have destroyed the companies with their greed and inability to lead walk free, because noone can prove they commited a crime. THOUGH THE WHOLE WORLD KNOWS THEY ARE GUILTY. But nothing happens. Somehow a kid, who hasn't got enough money and he downloads one song from the internet has commited bigger attrocity than those criminals (oops I am not suppose to call them criminals, no guilt has been ever proven to them) but that kid, is a criminal without a right to have a fair trial. FUCK THAT.
1. People need to realise that ILLEGAL downloading IS NOT SAME AS STEALING. Because if you steal, you remove something and that thing cannot be sold anymore. Illegal downloading is THE SAME as going to the library and borowing a book. You see it, you check it, and if you like it, you buy if not YOU'RE NOT EVEN GONA KEEP ILLEGAL COPY BECAUSE IT'S A WASTE OF YOUR HARDDRIVE SPACE!!!
2. We need a NEW copyright definition and copyright laws. This new copyright definition can only recognise author as the OWNER of the copyright and noone else. (Maybe 1 person in his close family can benefit from his copyrights, if he unfortunately dies in the period of time in which exist this copyright!).
2.a)NO CORPORATION CAN EVER HOLD COPYRIGHTS BECAUSE THE CORPORATIONS DIDN'T CREATE ANYTHING ... The people working for this corporations hold copyrights for the part they contibuted. (ex. A, B, and C work on a new substance, so each of them holds the copyright for their part, but if A decides to live the Corporation XYZ he can uses his PART (NOT THE WHOLE SUBSTANCE) in a new company for a new substance without consequences. Of course corporations would argue that they paid for the development of the substance ... so, because they did so, they can use that substane charge free, while any other company must pay the authors their copyright fee.
2.b) Previous knowledge, natural occurances, natural sounds, everything that's connected with nature, everything that happens in the real world cannot be under any copyrights.
2.c) One cannot buy the copyrights from the author, because the copyrights only belong to authors.
2.d) Music industry should not earn more money from one CD than author. After all THEY DIDN'T DO SHIT TO CREATE IT. It's like the builders would own MY HOUSE and interior disign, because they help me build it. tHE POST OFFICE DOESN'T TAKE 90% OF THE MONEY if I make 100 teady bears and sell them to people all over the world. I get the majority of the money from that teady bear, and the post office gets 10% if they ship it very far, not vice versa. Why should the records company get most of the money from one cd.
2.e) Companies that do not create anything and whose only reason to exist is to buy copyrights and then sue people who infringe their copyrights should be made illegal and their owners should face jailtime for fraud, because THIS IS A FRAUD.THEY WANT TO EARN MONEY for something THEY DID NOT CREATE.

Everything would be solved if author would get a small amount of money we pay for the internet connection for downloads ... if you pay like a cent for every song you download and this cent gets that author, he would have 10.000 € for every song 1000000 users download.
