um... I got a perfect score on my second statistics quiz!!!!!!!! rock on!!! only 4 out of the 16 people in the class got a perfect score. but.. on the homework i only got 45/50 points.. what gives?? i double checked everything numerous times. and had edward look over it. its really not worth my time to go to his office and have him go over it with me.. since he doesn't give back homework or quizzes since he "doesn't have time." whatever! so my grades are as follows;
Homework 1: 50/50
Quiz 1: 46/50
Homework 2: 45/50
Quiz 2: 50/50
I think I might be able to handle three classes next semester.. but i'm not sure. i have to take statistics 2.. and a "qualitative" research class.. not even sure what the entails, exactly. it might actually be part of my residency (yes, i have to do a residency.. i have to do a "mini" research project and submit it for publication. i have so many ideas for this it's ridiculous. i've been keeping a list every time i go, "huh.. that'd make a good research topic." it can be related to my future dissertaion but that's so far off right now i dont even know where to begin.)
the doctorate is about 54 credit hours, give or take a few:
stats 1: 3 hrs
stats 2: 3 hrs
qualitative: 3 hrs
residency: 6-9 hrs
dissertation 9-12 hrs
my two classes from the summer where i "slacked off" by going to UT: 6 hrs
innovative curriculum: 3 hrs
21 more hours of random classes, or 7 or so classes.
next semester i'm definitely going to take stats 2.. and some other random class.. maybe 2. if i take 3 classes total next semester i'd only have 5 more random classes, residency, and dissertation. so one more year of taking real classes.. the residency and then a year of dissertation. so we're looking at 2-3 more years after this one. that's about what i thought it would take, but i assumed i'd have to take classes during the summer. i'm thinking about doing NOTHING this summer except enjoying the time off. sounds nice, huh? no trips.. except for one that i really WANT to take.. and that one's already a given :)
AP went SO WELL today. i told them stories about henry II and thomas a becket.. and totally had them eating out of the palm of my hands. LOVED IT. one girl was like.. "this stuff is like a soap opera!" so true!
okay.. cooking some mac and cheese.. yummmmm...
