Day 06: Hans Zimmer, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End
Click to viewHANS ZIMMER. Absolutely amazing. I love his scores, the man is a genius. I can't say enough about the Pirates soundtracks that he did, I close my eyes and I can see the pictures he paints with his music in my head. Towards the end of this particular piece it is very flowing and strong and I just get chills listening to it. This is here mostly because I am a music geek, I was in band in high school and middle school. I also can't say enough about the last Pirates score, for On Stranger Tides. The "End Credits" song especially. He partnered with Spanish guitar masterminds Rodrigo y Gabriela. They take the original "He's a Pirate" theme from the first movie, crafted by Blake Neely and give it a beautiful Latin twist. If you haven't listened to these soundtracks, definitely give them a shot :)
