Changing My Ways

At least, I'm trying to.

I'm just so damn tired of being so damn fat. I don't eat much, but I don't eat well. And I don't exercise. So of course, no matter how little I eat, I can't lose weight. But all that changes now.

Treadmill, 10-20 minutes every evening. (Eventually I'll work up to using my yoga or tai chi DVD.) Food, Healthy Choice entrees and meals instead of fast food and my mom's cooking (god bless her, but she's a true southern cook: if it's not fried, it's boiled to death). Maybe it'll work. Certainly couldn't hurt.

Also gotta stop spending so much money. I can park for free in the state employee lots, but they're several blocks away from my building -- not to mention at the bottom of a steep hill -- so when I'm running too late to catch the shuttle I just give up and park in the pay lot across the street. Which is nine dollars a day. That's nearly $200 a month just to PARK. So I've got to start leaving for work earlier in the morning, so I can catch the shuttle and stop paying to rent a tiny car-sized space for an outrageous fee every day.

I'm also trying to manage my time better -- the leaving earlier thing, as well as trying to go to bed earlier so I can get a more restful night's sleep. Trouble is, doing both leaves precious little time for my online life, not to mention writing, which I'm trying to do more of.

If I didn't have those nine hours or so in the middle of the day to deal with, I could probably get a lot done...
