This is a really good portrayal of people trying to be friends after a divorce, and I really like the emotions you bring here. Not your standard fanfic!

Also, I'm wondering: for you, what is the most importance part of Kate's characters? Whenever I try to write her, I feel like I'm doing it wrong.

This made me LAUGH OUT LOUD. I was reading Kieron Gillen's tumblr last night and he writes about how he also has a hard time pinning down Kate and writing her in Young Avengers. Since no one else has ever used her as a POV, he thinks that no one else knows either. *grins ( ... )

I'm glad I'm not the only one who has trouble with her. And she is so interesting, so I do want to write her, you know? :)

I think the key is to find one aspect of the character that you connect with. The rest falls into place. One of the reasons that I write a lot of my stories from Clint's POV is because I feel as if I connect more with him than I do with Natasha.

What is the thing that interests you the most? Is that the thing that connects you? Or could connect you?

I think it's Kate's confidence and snark, really.

Excellent qualities! I like those, too!

In a given situation, how would she use those? Do they get her into more trouble or out of the trouble? Does it matter that she's so young? Is her age a help or a hindrance? What's she wearing? Does she have on a uniform? A casual outfit? Is her hair pulled up or left to hang loose?

If you answered those questions... you're halfway to a scene... *grins* You might as well write it down now!

Thanks, that was actually really helpful :) I might use the same technique for Maya.
