There is ALWAYS hope

This video sums up really nicely why I support St. Baldricks with both my time and my money. And, I suppose, with my hair. If you're new to my blog, you may not know that I'm a cancer survivor. I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Ovarian Cancer at the age of 21 and am working on an astounding 18 years of being cancer-free! I was pretty naive back then and didn't really know what my diagnosis meant... it's probably a good thing that WebMD didn't exist back then! Now I understand much more about what my condition meant. I can't imagine a child going through the emotional turmoil I went through and I only had surgeries, no chemo or radiation.

1 in 5 children will be diagnosed with cancer.

That is one child too many.

Please consider donating at www.stbaldricks.org/participants/shelleyk2013. I understand about fiances being tight, believe me. One or two dollars would go a long way in helping. I know me and my blue hair would greatly appreciate it!
