Fandom: Graceling (book)
Character: Lady Katsa, Po, Ashen
Rating: PG-13
Spoilers: Well, if you haven't read the book, there is spoilers aplenty. At least take a glance and see if maybe this is a book you'd be interested in, though, because it's glorious!

Lady Katsa (played by Claire Foy) - A Graceling with the power to kill, even though she's a young girl. One eye green and one eye blue... a dead giveaway to her grace. She let's her uncle, King Randa, tell her who to kill or hurt for most of her life. Will she continue to let his edicts rule her life and make her feel like nothing more than a rabid dog?

I chose Claire because I love how her wide eyes and thin face make her look fragile but there is a strength there that comes out when she narrows her eyes and juts out her chin. She would make a good Katsa because they both share those characteristics.

***

Po (Prince Greening Grandemalion played by Christian Cooke) - Another Graceling with one silver eye and one gold eye, the youngest son of the King of Lienid has lived a life hiding his true grace from everyone, including his family. He knows who he is and his place in the world but he comes upon Katnis and everything changes.

Christian can look cocky, yet mournful, much as Po does through most of the work. He's also got mad fighting skills, both with his fists, feet and a sword. Definitely a plus when playing the multi-talented prince.

***

Ashen, Queen of Monsea (played by Jessica Brown Findlay) - the aunt of Po and mother of Bitterblue. She finds herself a pawn to the whims of her husband, a reasonable man except to those who stand in his way.

Ashen doesn't have a very big role in the book but I think JBF looks almost exactly like she's described in the book. She wouldn't let any king run over her, especially if her daughter was being threatened.
