I know I should suck it up and just write but I can't seem to write what is due. What I want to write? The Cam trope fic that is due in March. What is due? 10k of a Leverage big bang that I CANNOT GET MY HEAD AROUND, 13 new writerverse stories that only have to be 100 words but always ends up somewhere around 600, 13 older prompt table stories that need to be around 1k so I can get the extra credit points. Anything else? Oh, probably.
So in one week, I need to write somewhere around 36 THOUSAND words. *shakes head* I guess I don't need to attempt for first place in writerverse. It's just stupid to try when I have this sort of pressure hanging over me.
I'm also not going to finish the stargateland fairy tale that I started yesterday because I have THOUSANDS of words left on that to get to a conclusion and I don't have time! STUPID MUSE! *shakes fist at the ceiling fan where the muse lives* No, I'm going to write 200 words of someone being a beast and then I'm going to post it and put a note on the other story to finish it some other time. What a complete waste of the day!!!!! Grrrrrr....
I'm just beyond irritated because I need to be writing the Leverage story and I'm so completely stuck that I know it's because I'm writing the wrong story. But what is the right story? What should I be writing? Where did I go wrong? Why have I put this off until the LAST MINUTE? Why did I take the time to write this post? Why am I more interested in the fact that my dad is watching The Librarian instead of putting my headphones in and WRITING? Why do I keep going over to play with my nephew?
*runs around the room in terror*
Okay. I am no more under control than I was before and I don't feel any better but at least I've seen, in writing, what I need to do. That's nearly as good as having a plan of attack and being confidant about it.
